One possibility is that since they are both cops, they are both lying under oath. Mutual cases dismissed!

We really need more women in police work.

This type of a behavior from a state trooper is certainly indicative of a much deeper problem for this trooper. I would also call in to question other traffic stops and or complaints involving other attractive women.
We have had a very serious problem with some officers using their authority to demand sexual favors from female drivers during traffic stops. Pay heed now or pay up later!!!

There is no reason that this trooper should ever enforce the laws of PA ever again. Enforcement is to be an impartial response to a certain violation. There is never room for disrespect because of race, gender or religious beliefs including personal revenge. As police officers we must act professional at all times including when we are off duty. We did not take the oath just to limit our actions to an eight hour shift! We must all set the example 24/7 and treat others like we would want to be treated. In this case, I would highly recommend the present mayor, a former State Police officer, to think hard about own actions. The chief should be able to exercise her rights given her under the Constitution of The United States and demand justice in this matter. The populace of this community should be thankful to have a caring chief and back her 200%. Keep in mind, not all State Police Officers are bad people. If they (State Police) stand behind this poor excuse of an officer within their ranks, then they are no better than he is. Good Luck to the new chief of Mt. Jewett, PA

"I am a Pennsylvania State Trooper, A Soldier of the Law. To me is entrusted the Honor of the Force. I must serve honestly, faithfully, and, if need be, lay down my life as others have done before me, rather than swerve from the path of duty. It is my duty to obey the law and enforce it without any consideration of class, color, creed, or condition. It is also my duty to be of service to anyone who may be in danger or distress, and at all times so conduct myself that the Honor of the Force may be upheld."

seems the state police are up to their old tricks again. looks similar while different, to the harrassment they are dishing out in bradford,pa. some but not all of their ranks should never have made to police work. unless the chief pursues it with a law suit this will continue. remember the psp complaint number 866-426-9164. use it when you observe or are the victim of state police misconduct.( I am a retired local chief trained by psp.) don bailey of harrisburg is a good choice of atty. to go after them

another Memorial Day weekend is upon us and the scummey cops will be out in force ticketing otherwise law abiding drivers for not wearing a seatbelt (which affects no one but the driver btw). meanwhile nothing is done about speeding, aggressive drivers or cell phones and texting while driving. i guess it's just plain easier to sit on their lazy a** in a roadblock. plus it's always great, while you're pulled over getting your ticket to see a biker go by with no helmet. nice job contaminating what Memorial Day should be about ! click it or ticket ? the most obnoxious ad campaign slogan ever - F U !

So YOU can PAY the extra $200,000 in medical bills that your lack of seat belt or helmet will cause ??
Great.

Many of us are sick of paying YOUR medical bills as absorbed into OUR HEALTH CARE PLAN costs.

you want to wear a seat belt, fine. you want to spend money advertising the benefits of seat belts, fine. alot of us learned to drive before seatbelts were required. what is objectionable is making an otherwise safe driver subject to a violation. btw, "belt and helmet" i haven't cost your precious insurance two cents because of my "reckless" behavior. i've driven a long time without a violation but am frustrated to be subject to a ticket while observing alot more dangerous driving.

I had the misfortune of serving with Dale Vukovich in 1st Ranger Battalion from 1994-1996. He was initially assigned to weapons squad as an ammunition bearer and later as an assistant gunner. At first, we thought that this loud boisterous young man might have some leadership qualities. It soon became apparent that when nobody was looking, Vukovich wasnt working. He would often threaten and harass his fellow soldiers to get them to either help him with minor tasks or to simply do the work for him. On other occasions, he made disparaging remarks about peoples wives and girlfriends. When he was finally given the opportunity to attend Ranger School, the depth of his incompetence surfaced. Apparently, he was unable to read a map, much less take orders! Although he claimed to have injured his back no conclusive medical evidence was ever presented. This worthless thug/wannabe soldier was quckly reassigned to Ft Campbell, Ky. Interestingly, en route from Savannah Ga to Ft Campbell Ky, Dale Vukovich became a war hero. After only 24hrs at his new duty station his ruse was discovered. And he was disciplined for wearing unauthorized decorations, including the US Army Ranger tab, on his uniform.

Spot on, belt and helmet.

Crash test dummy, I know there ARE seatbelt laws, but as I recall there are no helmet laws in PA (assuming you are in PA...)

concerned citizen,
Your post explains something that bothered me after an interaction with same person. I too have served and expect honorable behavior from other veterans. I'm split because it sounds sincere but could also be that a police officer makes enemies too. Please give more info if possible. Thank you Sir.
