I find it strange that there are no Hispanic names mention. I am retired soldier that served on active, reserve, and national guard duty. Lately, I've watched the news, advertisement, movies and other commercials on TV; there seams to be a lot of anti-Hispanic sentiments. I began seeing this in an army recruiting commercial; with the slogan it's your turn. They first showed, what look like a white person, then a black person and finally a Hispanic looking person with the slogan finnally coming in the end. Now all you see on commercial are white and blacks getting along, with a negative news media about immagrants of Hispanic origin. Nothing about white or black immagrants. My father entered the service at Fort Bliss in 1943 or 44. He wound up fighting the Germans in the Bulge, Rhinland, and Central Europe campains. He was assigned to 3rd sqd, 3rd plt, Co K, 357th Inf. 90th Inf Div., but all you see on the news (unless they list the dead) are whites and blacks. The question is, what are these generals going to do to get the Hispanic soldiers their due in this racist orientated country? We have been here since the beginning of this county and probably in every conflicted.

this all sounds like a bunch baloney, you sound like a family of Vendidos. Chicanos should not serve in any army for a country that does not like them. They need to stay in school and not leech off the government and pay taxes not like the military people welfarers.
