IT is a wonder when a person makes all the wrong choices that the parents turn around an blame someone else for his death when it could have been avoided in the first place by the parents teaching him morals and respect for others. These parents are prime examples of gross negligence in rearing their child and by their negligence he becomes an abuser and bully.

EL PASO, Texas —

"Authorities said a 25-year-old man shot and killed himself Thursday after a four-hour standoff in Montana Vista, but the family is still looking for answers.

Sheriff's officials refused to answer any questions by KFOX14 because, they said, they were too specific, and the situation was still under investigation.

Deputies were executing an arrest warrant on Rafael Lopez when he pulled out a gun and shot at them, officials said.

Lopez then barricaded himself inside his home, and he fired four more times at deputies, officials said.

Family members said they tried to intervene and believe they could have persuaded him to come out, but authorities did not let them. Lopez's father was even handcuffed at one point when, the family said, he was only trying to help.

"I could have brought him out," Lopez's father said. "That's my anger with the Sheriff's Department, because I could have brought him out. They told me,'Go down, you're going to talk to him.' They never did. They never came back for me."

Although they were unavailable for an interview, the Sheriff's Office did provide some carefully-worded answers.

Sheriff's officials said family members are allowed to intervene in these situations if it is believed they can help. Whether deputies believed they could (have been) be of any help in Thursday's standoff is not yet clear."

I hope to hell they sue the county and Sheriff Wiles for this debacle. He didn't have to die and the cops in this case crossed the line.

THE SHERIFFS deputies did not cross any lines you cowardly thief and idiot who steal and invents names. The idiot knew he was going to jail and the mother and father were no way shape of form going to help the Bondsman and the Sheriff's deputies get their son. They wanted for what illogical reason to act as a shield for the man who had not the balls or sanity to turn him self over to the courts for judgement.

The border patrol agent was killed by friendly fire this week. I wonder if that might have been the case here?

You must be some kind of an imbecile. The coward shot himself and now the family wants to blame law enforcement. They should be charged themselves with negligence and obstruction.

I know you are not JWRussell or James Russell USNR. Your brains are always short circuiting and you mouth is as foul as the breath of a carrion eating buzzard. Go stuff yourself into a deep grave in the deepest slime pit around.
