I am mystified as to why illegal aliens and their fifth-column activists always vote Democrat when it comes to thinking they’ll get the best amnesty deal for illegal aliens. Democrats have successfully demagogued this issue, but the Republicans have historically been responsible for over 90 per cent of the immigration amnesties.

As a Conservative Independent, I fear the Republicans much more than the Democrats on the amnesty issue. In 1952 Democrat President Harry Truman vetoed the Walter-McCarran Act, which gave amnesty to illegal aliens who had entered the U.S. illegally as far back as 1941. Congress passed the Act over Truman's veto before adjourning on Christmas Eve, 1952.

The next-largest amnesty, the Immigration Reform Act of 1952 (IRCA) was signed into law by President Ronald Reagan in October, 1986.
When George Bush II was President, he signed into law two more amnesties meant to extend amnesty to the extended families of aliens who had received amnesty under IRCA. The two Acts were called 245(i) and Extension of 245(i).

The Amnesty Act of 2006, the most liberal amnesty act of all was sponsored mostly by Republicans. See:

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Comprehensive_Im...

Excerpt:

“The Comprehensive Immigration Reform Act (CIRA, S. 2611) was a United States Senate bill introduced in the 109th Congress (2005–2006) by Sen. Arlen Specter [PA] on April 7, 2006. Co-sponsors, who signed on the same day, were Sen. Hagel [NE], Sen. Martinez [FL], Sen. McCain [AZ], Sen. Kennedy [MA], Sen. Graham [SC], and Sen. Brownback [KS].Extension of 245(i).” The Bill died due to lack of Democrat support in Congress.

All but one (Kennedy) of the co-sponsors of the above amnesty act were Republicans. In fact, Lindsey Graham of SC earned the name of “Grahamnesty” from Rush Limbaugh for his energetic sponsorship of the amnesty act.

Obama’s executive order(Dream Act) is not a law. His executive order granting “stays of deportation”[8 CFR 241.21 is temporary. Amnesties are” suspensions of deportation”[8 CFR 240.21] and permanently grant residence to illegal aliens.

The word,“amnesty” is not found under immigration law, but it describes a waiver of the normal procedures for obtaining suspensions of deportation and grants adjustment of status to permanent residence under an amended rule of [Adjustment of Status] 8 CFR 255. It will take an act of the Republican Congress to pass a law granting another amnesty and it looks like they will do it once again in spite of losing the support of Conservative Independents. Democrat Congressmen will once again laugh up their sleeves and tell the labor unions to blame the Republicans. Republicans are good at playing scapegoat for Democrats in many other ways.

The mystery of Latinos supporting Democrats is less puzzling when you consider that, although Democrats always pay lip service to amnesty, the truth of the matter is that the Party is still controlled by the powerful labor unions that want to preserve jobs for their members. Illegal aliens can become members of labor unions, and must, if they want union jobs, but in general, unions oppose amnesties, as do most Democrat Congressmen. Currently, there is conflict in the Democrat Party concerning whether they want to curry the favor of unions or the Latino groups who control large blocks of Democrat votes.

Correction:
The Immigration Control And Reform Act of 1986 was the correct title of the amnesty Act signed by President Reagan in October, 1986. It is also called IRCA,

Excuses, lies, and more excuses. Bla bla bla. Don't you realize you Republicans are so out of touch with the average American that you may never win another election? Ever? Even John Bohner (Speaker of the House) said the other night after receiving the news that Romney lost: "Our party must strive to represent all Americans, not just the ones that look like us", in order to advance in the U.S. political arena of today.
Times are changin' folks. Better get on the bandwagon before your party fades into oblivion.

We lost the election to people that think they are entitled. People that voted on race lines and didn't pay attention to the issues. We lost the election to people that may have never served and are not paying taxes. Obama had done nothing but put us in debt. Obama has failed and he will continue to fail at our expense. The Republicans did not lose....America lost.

Obama has not budget yet he has excuses.

Obama failed in Libya and the firing of military will not save him.

Obama has not produced jobs no matter how they manipulate the numbers.

Obama is the best President Russia, Arabs ever had.

Obama only likes the military when they produce headlines for him. He would just assume cut all benefits to those that have served. Don't be fooled, read his proposals.

The Amnesty is good for two years. What does that mean? It means more illegals will come to this country and others that are here on visas will stay. Open up the blinders - and don't focus on Mexicans. It means Muslims and Hindu too.

People including Obama hated Romney because he was rich and white.

Shame shame on those people who voted for Obama. They voted for failure.

You are generalizing and stereotyping about a whole class of people for whom you know nothing about. I voted for President Obama and have never used any type of entitlement program in my life. What's your excuse for losing the election now? LOSER?
Also, Republicans use U.S. entitlement programs also! That's one of the reasons your party is failing-you all are hypocrites, lack credibility, and are completely out of touch with most Americans. For these reasons and others, you will again lose the Presidential election of 2018.

Boehner is from the old plantation/exploitation of illegal alien school and has always been for more amnesties. He has kept a low profile during the first four years of Obama's Administration only because he knows that Republicans have a history of being behind most amnesties and he is aware on the new Tea Party views. Now, he feels emboldened to once again take up the traditional GOP viewpoint and thinks he can overcome Tea Party opposition, or maybe thinks he can win them over to the traditional GOP policy of exploitation. He has another surprise coming.

OK. Petro, where are the lies in these?:

In South Chicago, Obama's stomping grounds, if you go on a bus tour, you will probably pass a statue of Abraham Lincoln with the following inscription on its base:

Abraham Lincoln
Democrat

Next thing you know Petro, will be saying the Democrats, not a Republican President freed the slaves.

Democrats, like Mexicans, can easily change history when it is politically expedient for them to do so.
After all, they have had a lot of experience altering or falsifying birth records, immigration documents, Drivers' licenses, Social Security Cards, etc., for over a hundred years.

So now you're distancing yourselves from the Speaker of the House Boehner? Just two weeks ago, he was the messiah of the Republican party. Now, because he strays from your absolutist views on immigration, he's suddenly excommunicated and banished from the GOP? Wow. You all are somethin' else-Conform or be cast out.

I agree with James Russell/Areyoureal on this one. The Republicans have the right answers, they're just responding to the wrong questions. History can teach us that Republicans are on the side of good and just, while the other side just wants to divide and conquer. Vaya con Dios.

We were all behind the policies, if you would have elected Santorm or Newt we would have backed you like we did with Regone and the Bushes but you went with Romney. If Romney out debated the O imagine what Newt would have done to him. but once King Bill jumped in he, trumped everything.

"Good Old" Democrats are steady, right? They have always stolen elections, stuffed ballot boxes, bribed and taken bribes, bought votes with welfare, taxed and spent us into financial oblivion, showed weakness before foreign leaders, and weakened our military, causing WWII, the Korean War and Communist takeover of Eastern Europe after WWII, appointed liberals to the Supreme Court and protected crime and criminals, and generally shredded the Constitution, in concert with unions destroyed our schools and industrial competition, and had their friends in the media assasinate the character of all opponents.
