Mayor Cook is Nuts

El Paso, TX

#1 Mar 10, 2013
Mayor Cook is ruining El Paso for HIS purposes. Most El Pasoans polled say they don't want the stadium where city hall is
Will promise you if this ballpark El Paso's property taxes will increase like those of major cities like Dallas, and will no longer be affordable, but overcrowded, really dirty and expensive like Los Angeles, SF New York.
Mayor Cook has dreams of being mayor for a big city so he tries to make El Paso like those overcrowded very expensive cities like Chicago, New York
He dreams of being a rockstar, he takes out that guitar whenever he can with his shitty music, he's not all there
He has no respect for El Paso monuments and landmarks like City Hall and the smokestacks
He is not part Hispanic in his heart like many white people are here. He's married to an Asian lady and dreams of El Paso being San Francisco. El Paso has a special culture and citizens belong here, regardless if they are hispanic or not
If we wanted El Paso to be faster paced like New York, Chicago we will be there, and some people from El Paso fly out to San Antonio to their second homes. He has the means to
Cook does not respect El Paso and it's safety and slower relaxed beautiful pace. The freeway was not meant for HIS ballpar and downtown is perfect the way it is.
City Hall is a young building and perfect for there, what's really going on Cook?

I think that you are a "NUT" Case within yourself to think and make up all this bull crap! Mayor Cook has been one of El Paso's better Mayors since Raymong Telles was the mayor of El Paso.
Weere did you get your so called poll about the people of El Paso not wanting a ball park to be located were city hall now stands?
You made all that up in your little fantasy world mind, and about the property taxes, they will continue to go up whether or not El Paso has a new baseball stadium and Mayor Cook has nothing to do with your taxes going up.Don't worry about a thing, El Paso will always be dirt cheap because of idiots like you that live here.
El Paso could only wish of being a popular tourist destination like San Francisco,El Paso dodn't even make up for one city block of what is in San Francisco and whats worth in tourist dollars,=TONS OF MONEY. You don't even know what you are talking about, and who cares about San Antonio, the people from El Paso that moved there to give their kids a chance to see and have something that El Paso kids don't have! Sea World and the Alamo and that's about it, regardless that they still get bullied at school.
Wait a minute? you you still in first grade? Did your mother write this post for you? is it a class project or are you just being a clown?

Don't need no poll fool, There have been protests galore to show people did not want city hall torn down. We could have torn down the run down section of downtown south of San Antonio from Oregon to Mesa or Stanton south to Paisano. It would have gotten rid of all of Billy Abraham's properties which are fire hazards.

Anyone who opposes city hall being torn down is a neanderthal who doesn't want progress. Such people should be tarred, feathered and then stripped naked, painted purple and shuffled off to Mexico. We don't need or want such people here.

Such a wrong location, why not build where Dudley Field is at in the Northeast. Something stinks...really bad

John Cook does not care that El Paso is for the poor and for people with not much money can make a home and be happy. HE doesn't not care about El Paso history and what the people have worked for. He already has his rich man toys and helicopters already to destroy what El Pasoans have built. El Paso worked hard, for peanuts, to build a place to live, survive on not much money, and Cook wants to tear that down.

The site is just wrong. The stadium is too small. There are no outfield bleachers and only a small grassy area behind left field supposedly for kids to play rather than watch the game with their parents. What fun is going to a game if you don't have the chance to catch a homerun, especially one that wins a championship (well, won't have to worry about that here anyway)? So, yeah, go watch a game and catch a foul ball. Whoop-de-doo!

Don't forget about the Ball Girls. The Phillies employ Hooter's waitresses and we should do that too. In their tight outfits that leave nothing to the imagination, it's only a matter of time before a boob or a bun pops out.

Even Pope Francisco said protect what you have created and not destroy at his innaugaration. Save El Paso history and City Hall, and don't destroy it, that goes for the smoke stacks too.

How do we impeach a mayor?

For better or worse, Mayor Cook does represent the city's consciousness, or lack thereof.

Either way, I am not buying this stadium business. The evidence from other cities all points to the likelihood that these stadiums are more of a liability than a boon to the public.

The taxpayers will pay for any losses, but will not see a red cent of the profits. These politicians probably delude themselves that the interests that grease their palms are the same as the people's interests. This vile little culture of matrimony between government and old money is quite a peach you have going on here. It's why they blacklist any serious mention of the Iceland situation at all costs. I'm sure going to a ballgame will make all that go away.

P.S. I don't give a rat's ass about some dirty smoke stacks that only made people more stupid and violent throughout the years; historical evidence that lead pollution may cause frontal lobe damage, and thus more violent criminal outbursts.

Mayor Cook and all and when I say all that everybody on this forum. Thinks you are on crazy SOB that needs to be locked up in a mental facilty. And that also includeds name stealers. Of course property taxes will have to help pay for this new stadium and city hall. That hotel motel tax is more of a fu/ck you tax to the people that visit and stay here can't pay for all of it. Maybe in 20 or 34 years when this ballpark don't work out they will tear it down and put a new city hall in its place. The people that ramed this through are a bunch of GD stooges.
