Bravo Dr. Kaip!

This healthcare bill is scary. And those of you who are proud of Reyes for voting 'yes', under the health care bill Americans who fail to pay a penalty for not buying insurance could be charged up to $25,000 by the Internal Revenue Service or face up to a year in jail, according to congressional analysts.
(H.R. 3962, as amended)

Forcing someone to buy something has never been the American way and is unconstitutional.

Enjoying our wonderful Reyes now?
He's part of the oligarchy that is destroying America.

And worst of all, most fell for the 'evil insurance companies' propoganda. Taco Bell's GDP in 2008 was around 8%, the insurance companies collectively GDP in 2008 was 2%.

Hey Democrats out there...if you disagree, fine. But, do so with facts and statistics (and stop blaming Bush, it's getting old).

A Cell Phone has become like Electronic Heroin.

All age groups---except maybe for real old people---are glued to these damn devices.

As one very good surgeon, I will "implant" the Miniature Cell Phones when they become available. We will then see a society filled with humans who seem to always be mumbling to themselves, when in fact they are constantly "communicating" via their little Telephonies.

Once again, a lot of criticism but no solutions or alternatives. The Republicants tried to offer an alternative but the CBO quickly proved that it would cover very few of the people who are currently uninsured and would reduce the deficit over ten years by only half that that the Democratic proposal would.
As for the up to $25,000 fine. If you have current insurance, keep it and you don't have to worry. If you currently do not have insurance and cannot afford it, then you will receive subsidies. If you currently do not have insurance but can afford it, then why should I pay when you go to the emergency room? Instead you will be required to pay a fine (not anywhere close to $25,000). If you refuse to pay that fine THEN you MAY be chrged UP TO $25,000 and a year in prison (which a maximum judgement that is very unlikely to be rendered).
Don't let Glenn and Rush and Sean and Bill-O scare you that much. Use your head. Everything is not a worst case scenario. Go get a hug from somebody and you'll feel better.

I dont really see anyone going to jail or being fined, THAT is just a scare tactic. ACLU would be all over that enforcement. It just looks good on the books.

Okay, you want a solution. First off, it's about 'CONTROL' not 'HEALTHCARE'..if the Dems really wanted to provide healthcare for those who don't have it, they could give the 37 million people $1 million policies and we would still be 2 trillion ahead.
So, it's not to 'help' as the Democrats want you to think. They just want more control over our lives and control 1/2 of the country's economy.

But I digress...Solutions- Tort reform, allowing across-the-state competition, among others.

El Paso needs small-business, something this bill will destroy.

I personally hate that I am required to purchase auto insurance in order to pay for any damages to your property that I may cause, don't you? It's un-American!

Come up with the 10 best solutions to the healthcare issue. Post these 10 solutions simply, clearly and concisely so that the everyday citizen can read in 5-10 minutes. Let the public read these over and let them vote on the best solution for the overall public. Take the top 3 solutions and use these as the solution.

Let WE THE PEOPLE vote. Don't put up a 1990 page document that no one will fully read. It's WE THE PEOPLE, not WE THE POLITICIANS.

A note to these public servants. The term public servant implies that you all work for the public and for the good of the public and not for the good of your rich friends.

Daily Horoscope for December 11

Sagittarius

Moodiness is never far away today, making you over-react to problems and giving you a tendency to take out your feelings on your nearest and dearest. If someone asks you what's really wrong, you'll struggle to explain and may even have to give up because you can't put it into words. It's like an itch that you can't scratch, and you don't know where it stems from or what it means.
