11:17PM EST December 1. 2012 - Rick Majerus, who won more than 70% of his games as a men's college basketball coach and took Utah to the 1998 national championship game, died Saturday at age 64.

Majerus' girlfriend, Angie Kvidera, confirmed to USA TODAY Sports that Majerus died Saturday in Los Angeles.

The final on-court chapter in Majerus' career was a fitting one: a 65-61 loss in a taut chess match against another of the sport's great bench coaches, Michigan State's Tom Izzo, in the second round of the NCAA tournament.

Majerus concluded a 25-year head coaching career – which included stops at his alma mater Marquette, Ball State, Utah and Saint Louis – with a 517-215 record. He reached the NCAA tournament 12 times, most notably leading Utah to the 1998 national title game before losing to Kentucky. Last season he took the Billikens to the NCAAs for the first time in 12 years.

Rest in Peace, Rick; You have joined with Don Haskins as a legend.

Fights broke out between the sisters and alleged girlfriends of Hector “Macho” Camacho during the slain boxer’s wake reports ESPN.

Cynthia Castillo, who claimed to be Camacho’s girlfriend at the time of his death, kissed the fighter at the viewing and then got into a confrontation with Gloria Fernandez, who said she had been Camacho’s girlfriend for the past 25 years. Camacho’s sisters Esther and Estrella also entered the fray.

“I went to get something to eat because Machito [Hector Camacho Jr.] told me to, and his ex-girlfriend [Fernandez] came up to me and told me that I had to leave,” Castillo told ESPN Deportes, showing a fresh scratch across her clavicle.“I said no, so they threw my plate of food and attacked me, and I defended myself.”

Jorge Lozada, who said he was a member of the Camacho family, allegedly tried to separate Camacho’s mother, Maria Matias, and the wife of former bantamweight champion Wilfredo Vazquez. Pushing and shoving also occurred between Lozada and Vazquez.
