What a shame if Moody is elected when clearly Margo has the interest of this city at heart. What in the world does Moody have to offer than the (D) after his name.

Moody - take notice if you win this, it will only because you coasted on the skirt of someone else. Come up to the plate and do something for this town.

The people saw through Margo's stupid, empty rhetoric and realized he "palls around" with corrupt people. Go Moody!!!!

Dee Margo would serve only the interests of the corrupt Republican regime in Austin, not the people of El Paso, if he were to be elected.

But he won't be.

Margo unseated Haggerty, somebody who was independent and cared about el paso. Margo was chosen because the GOP wanted it. It would be a shame if Margo, somebody whose campaign has all its money from Austin were to win

If moody wins we are looking at yet another leftist. even donald duck can win in el paso; all he has to do is put a big D next to his name. The emotional and pyschological vote for Democrats in El Paso should shame us all. Excellence results when there is competition - that's why we are a mediocre city.

Once again, the people of El Paso have demonstrated their intelligence and their ability to see through the rhetoric and false allegations thrown out by the Republicans.

This is a very good day, indeed, for all of us who live at the Pass of the North.

CONGRATULATIONS, JOE!(And Judge Moody, too!)

why do you fools think that a majority republican Austin will give a rats ass about you, el paso, when you piss on them left and right. Does anyone in this town think, or are you all just stupid illegal mexicans wanting to bring your family here to drive the city deeper into poverty.
basically what you're saying is "kiss republican ass, elect a token republican then maybe a generation down the line they will turn an eye towards this unknown little town and smile" wow, I'm not impressed.

I could not agree more with this excellent quote.

So sweet to see Craddick lackey supreme Dee Margo lose to the obvious better candidate, Joe Moody.

And you whiney Margo sheeple can just shut up, and deal with Margo's well-deserved loss like adults instead of overindulged spoiled brats pitching the most hissy of fits.

On the plus side, it sure was nice of the Texas GOP to pump all that wasted funding for Margo into our local economy.

Except for the reprehensible John Cornyn, the Times editorials pushing the GOP candidates ended up being the kiss of death for the endorsed Republicans.

Bye bye Dee, don't hurry back where you're clearly not wanted.

If you put the (D) next to Adolf Hitler or Joe stalin, they'll win an election in elpaso.
never in any other state or county have I ever seen a ballot with more than 1/2 the races unopposed, and so many straight ticket voters.

Want change? voting the same old people back into office again doesn't change a thing. until El Paso requires something more than a mule logo to determine qualifications and integrity, el paso will get the same caliber of officeholder and caliber of representation.

Margo would have done a fine job for this city but instead, a 21 year old goes to vote for change and she votes for a 27 year and calls it change. You guys are always calling out for help for minorities. Republicans don't exist as far as representation in this city and you attempt to disgrace the few who step up to give us a voice. TEXAS is a red state and will be for a long time. With 43000 trained robots voting Democrat straight ticket, El Paso will never change. She is Juarez with a couple of malls and happy to be that.

Affluent westside? Are you some kind of ****? Maybe a few gated communities where people are dumb as hell, but that's it.

What does Moody and you have in common?
You both are idiots.
Ah Teresa, didn't you say you weren't even going to vote? When Margo won the primarary he defeated someone who really cared about the city. All Margo cared about was his donors.
Now let's see if we can get rid of Craddick from the speaker position.
