["The American Civil Liberties Union of New Mexico is vowing to push for a new state law that would give pregnant teenagers maternity leave from school.

The group plans to support the proposal in the next legislative session this January. Under the plan, pregnant and parenting students, boys and girls, would get up to 14 days of absences a semester. Currently, students typically get up to 10 days of excused absences per semester. Part of the proposal would give new teen moms an additional 10 days of maternity leave.

Alexandra Smith, a staff attorney with ACLU of New Mexico, said the time would allow mothers to bond with children and recover from births.

"Pregnant and parenting students have more need to go to the doctor more than normal students," Smith said.

According to the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention, New Mexico has one of the highest birth rates for teenagers between the ages 15 to 19 in the nation. The state had teen birth rate of 53 per 1,000 female teenagers in 2010, the agency said.
The national average was 34.2 per 1,000, numbers showed.

In Colorado, an attempt in 2008 to make maternity leave mandatory at Denver Public Schools met resistance from the national group Concerned Women for America. A group of teens was seeking changes that would allow maternity leave of four weeks before having to return to school. But Concerned Women for America argued that extended teen maternity leave rewarded teens who get pregnant and promoted sex among teenagers."]

This is what liberal lawyers do with the public's money. They try to allow this child mothers breaks when it is costing the state money to make sure they are physically well and able to carry the birth to a good conclusion. I noticed the ACLU did not say anything about teaching these young women how to keep their legs shut or anything about birth control education. Are they also advocating the young girls be allowed to control their own sexual appetites? I wonder how many of these ACLU Lawyers are women? How many are men. How many of them have children and are they children of a lesser god.

Birth control is a universal human right per the United Nations, Kathy Sebellius and the Obama Care law. If you have a problem with that, you need to take it up with them. The ACLU is simply making sure that the law is followed.

Encouraging promiscuity and pregnancy is "birth control?" Nobody but a liberal, Obama Democrat could put those in the same, oxymoronic context.

Today is my wedding anniversary. Please don't bring me down on this austere occasion. I'll be celebrating with my little lady tonight and I just want to think clean thoughts in the meantime.

I t is not a question of supplying the little darlings with birth control but the ides that they would allow these girls to have 14 days per semester out of school and then give them 14 days out when the child is born. The schools here in El Paso have the girls in a school especially for pregnant teens and those who have babies. They allow them to take the child to the doctors when it is necessary and they provide them with parental assistance at school while they study. These children are not covered under any plan so far by Obama Care. They need their parents permission for birth control in New Mexico and Texas. The ACLU is being an advocate before there is a need if there is one at all.
