health-conscious and care about what is being put into their body don't mind paying a little extra," she said.

A dozen eggs from free-range chickens cost $3.95 (compared with $1.99 for store-bought eggs) and a whole chicken costs $4.99 a pound. Grass-fed beef ranges from $4.99 a pound to $7.99 a pound at Cielo Vista Natural Market."

The actual price for a dozen large eggs is about $.99. A whole chicken typically costs less than a dollar a pound and can be as little as $.59/pound if you watch the sales. I am guessing they are talking about ground beef in their example which is obviously considerable more expensive than regular ground beef. Paying 2-5 times as much (or more) for the same meal does not seem very practical to me in these times, but if you have money to burn then more power to you.

There was a segment on the national news this morning that discussed this subject.

The Doctor's conclusion, it is all the same, you just pay more. So I guess it another contradicting and confusing food subject. Eggss are not good, but later they are, etc.

These free range and organic products are nothing more than a excuse for the liberal elites to waste their money.
