I have been reading these comments. I hope I can post my comment without being slammed.
But, I would like to say that this comment I am replying to, is way out of context. The "sex offender" you are referring to, is unfortunately my uncle, although I prefer not to refer to him as one, as he is a total different person than we are, a loser and a very loney person. When you refer to the "zubia's" you are referring to thw whole family, that too, is also taking it out of context and very disrespectful. Who cares who owns or runs the business now, it has nothing to do with the zubia's anymore.
My grandparents were the "original" owners, they have passed on, please let them be at peace. It was my grandfather's request and decision to sell this property when he died. His children abided by that request. The only connection we have with Rosa's is because my cousin Oscar and his fiance run it now, that's it.
Who cares if this place was a happening place before or not, my grandparents lived for this place. When my grandparents had this place, it was just a neutral place, a place for people to go and have a good lunch, and a beer or two after work, no big deal. My grandma's whole life revolved around Rosa's, this place was her happiness, please don't take that away from her.
From my understanding when my grandparents first bought Rosa's, it was a happening place back then, of course they got old and things changed. It didn't matter to my grandparents if there were 100 people drinking or 5 people, they still loved their place with all their heart. Why are people bashing how they ran their place? Crazy if you ask me.

This is for the Famous Cynthia. Who the hell are you? I never knew we had a family member named Cynthia, never heard of you. Please keep your comments to yourself, they are stupid and idiotic.

Oscar and Patricia, if you all read these comments. I would just like to tell you that From my understanding you all are doing a great job and staying busy...good. Hope all goes well for you all. hopefully, if people have any sense in them they would stop bashing and look for positive things to say.

If you know anything about the famous country singer Marty Robbins then you must know his famous song about Faleena and Rosa's Cantina. The original "Rosa's Cantina" is located out in west Texas and it has been often called historical. It is now up for sale. Just wanted some feedback from local El Pasoans and others that have visited the legendary cantina.
i believe the name is spelled Felina not "Feleena"

How FOOLISH of me to depend on the Times to provide accurate information. Rosa's most recent score indeed is a 71 and not a 29. Now a 71 is nothing to brag about, but it's a hell of a lot better than a 29.

I wish the new owners all the best.

Yeah, big mistake on EP Times part and misprint. And you're right, a 71 is still pretty low, in fact, still not a good score. Let's hope these new owners will do something to correct this place.

Your grade was a 71, 1 point above failing, that still isn't good. Are you kidding me! When you get above a 90, then post comments, comebacks and attacks on other people. It's still disgusting that you are close to failing.

So the EP Times failed to print the correct information. Is there a reason you feel the need to attack the previous owners? They are not the reason why the current owners recieved a 70, which is still bad. Get over your self EP Plan you are not the almighty. Have some self respect!

This is a great place to have some fun. I agree with the score, though! It's nothing to be happy about. I disagree with the attacks on the family of the previous owners, totally out of topic and wrong for EP Plan to comment, that's insane. I will still go and have some drinks...despite!

Rosas Cantina is alive and doing great..... go by and enjoy the coldest beer in town, and the greatest food on the westside. The recent score was a 95 it is clean in there. The owners and the staff are friendly and give the best service out in the west texas town of El Paso.I've seen two live bands in there and theres a big grand opening party happening memorial day weekend.

Debbie,
you couldnt have said it better. Rosa's is doing great and yes your family did an amazing job. CYNTHIA needs to find something better to do with her time then hate with apparently seems like alot of anger. And as far as admitting to going to the bar, I highly suggest she finds another hang out. We dont need people like her.

Damn straight Debbie! Que viva Rosa's Cantina! I have great memories of this place, and no one can come close to Anita's cooking! Her tradition lives on in the fine cooks that are there today.

Oscar and Patricia, Keep up the good work primos! You are doing an outstanding job!

Good Old Marty Robbins! One of the greatest of all song writers! El Paso has got to be in the top 10 of country western songs - and there can't be a better story-song. Pete Townsend of the Who has written 2 songs in tribute to Marty Robbins. In one song Townsend writes that God grew tired of the silence and invented Marty Robbins so man could have music. I am glad that Rosas Cantina will keep her name and her address.

Oh, what a great story song. I love it and sometimes in summer when it is almost as hot here in northern Germany as in El Paso I drive my Mazda convertible and hear it from my CD player. I never thought that Rosas Cantina realy exists. Thank you!for the text. I now will memorize it. And if anyone of you guys got the chance to visit my home country and see a crazy German in a blue convertible singing like Marty Robbins, It`s me!

I agree with Buzz, I used to go over for a few beers with my friends until last year, one night Oscar got crazy and got in a fight with his own cousin, He knocked him down, a kid around 10 years younger than him.
