You have to take these articles lightly..because they are sprinkled with truth...mixed with misinformation. The truth is not out there. But one thing that is fishy is how so much drugs pass El Paso borders everyday...by how, what , when , where? And how so many weapons are entering Juarez at the same time....I am sorry but you can't just blame the local gangs here for that....how about we get closer to the truth?

Gangs and drug dealers should be classified as terrorist cells and treated like terrorist regardless of what race the gang is. Whether it is an oriental gang, a mexican gang, or a white gang doesn't matter. Gangs here in america are more of a threat than one arab trying to blow up a plane. Gangs murder more people here in america each year than all countries combined. Gangs are terrorist and its time to start treating them like terrorist.
It doesnt matter if its a kid involved in the gangs and drug trade or if its an adult. A terrorist is a terrorist. There are plenty of kids living 6 feet under in Irag for shooting at our troops, so being a kid or a first time offender is no excuse for lighter punishment. We need to make it the law of the land here in america if your covnicted of dealing drugs your reward is 6 feet under.

The term, "Los Sureños" indicates that they may be either immigrants from south of the border, or have close ties to Mexico, perhaps descendants of the last amnesty beneficiaries.
Surenos are actually from southern California.

The good thing about being here is that we can keep and bear arms. I think that if either the BA or the Sureños start anything here they will get chewed up by the local population. Remember that Jesse James got his but run out of town by well armeds citizens in Northfield, Minnisota.

It is hard to mess with a law abiding citizen that has an AK-47 at home or in the trunk of his car!

As to all the arrests of the BA's...so what? we still don't know who killed those folks in Juarez!

No one can protect you from the thugs but yourself!

In the book A History of Private Life Vol.II there is a great description of a gang war in the city of Verona, Italy in the 1400's.

Youth gangs are as old as man. Gangs are the means by which young males practice their hunter gatherer skills.

The skills needed to survive in our hunter gatherer past are cruelty, rapaciosness and other skills that we now label as criminal conduct.

Since man organized into agricultural society we have changed or attempted to change that behavior.

However, these tendencies are still part of our nature.

All youth needs to undergo the civilizing process. When they do not they end up as hunter gatherers among those who have been socialized.

these gangs are not of kids by no means, they are violent tyrants in the trade of drugs, prostitution and weaponry.i wish it was that simple to just label this and be done with it, but unfortunately this is only the beginning.

you are right, these are not kids they are the
after affects of the 60's and 70's who were trained
from kids to what they are now trained killers and
dope runners. And as for drugs getting across the
border someone is making moola money.

The cops should just round up all known gang members and put them in concentration camps and "exterminate" them. Afterwwardsm the gang and drug problem is solved. El Paso becomes the safest city in America, and we all live happily ever after...
its not that easy dumbass! let things be how they are, things will get better by themselves. there is no reason why you should be saying stupid things like that. Those "gang members" have families to take care of, most of them have jobs and kids it wouldnt be fair to them . how would you like it if they were to "exterminate" you and your friends or family just because of some problems...? its wrong right? its wrong to do to anyone. Now el paso might be ONE of the safest but its not the main one we have our bumps and brusis but thats what makes el paso unique and different from any other city nation wide. and not everyone would be happily ever after like you said, peolps much as famiy would be devastated! no onje desevers that no matter how bad it might seem, I think your commnent was uncalled for and straight out stupid!

Debbie, you should just worry about doing Dallas instead of advocating shooting people that live in a different country. Shoot them before they come here? That means shooting them before they've done anything wrong.... What do you propose? just shooting all people in Mexico that might be thinking of relocating here... you sick racist idiot!!

Agreed, since all the violence started law enforcement has been trying to convince Americans its going to spread here...it still hasnt to any serious degree even after a couple of years of this. I agree this is an attempt to sway public opinion in order to justify increased budgets for law enforcement. I believe last month it was "attacks on police officers". This month its Surenos gangs. Next month it will be something else.

Have you ever heard of the word satire? Look it up.

Of course this could never happen in this country! It would violate the US Constitution in so many ways.

Plain and simple, I despise gang members and what they stand for. They have no place in a harmonious and productive society. Gang-bangers are a cancer eating away at society, and the only way to fight cancer is to attack it and eliminate it. It is unfortunate that they reproduce and have family members, but also think of all the other families they hurt and inflict pain on. So screw these domestic terrorists and their scumbag family members!

Another thing...before you start calling other people "stupid," take a look at all the misspelled words and grammatical errors on your post. Who looks stupid now? Go read a book or something...

Ive always considered El Paso to be a safe place and have never felt scared i know were one of the safest city but each day that passes im more unsecure and a little more scared, i live in sanelizario a couple of streets down the river seperating us from juarez, and whenever im ready to fall asleep i hear a loud bang my heart stops, at the end its just the neighbor throwing somthing heavy out or some dogs roaming around knocking things down. Theres times when the sun goes down and theres a car passing slowly with there head lights off and i just stare hoping no one pulls a gun out, it may just be paranoia, and i might be thinking about it a lot, but i had never been so unsecure in my life before.
Steph V: welcome to the world of New York on Labor Day 2001 or Oklahoma City celebrating St Patrick's Day 1995. With Arizona finally recognizing that there is a 10th Amendment in our Constitution, a federal government that is more concerned about impressing the world than enforcing the laws of this nation, religious institutions forgetting that Jesus cautioned about giving unto Caesar that which is Caesar's regarding social controls-this summer may make the summer of 1967 seem like a Fourth of July picnic. Might be a good time to learn how to live without Ipods, GPs, microwave fast foods and starbucks coffee then head for the Rockies.

The U.S. is behind all this super cartels system and they will create the super cartels and than make them go to war on each other to sell arms, control drugs and everything else.I see a Large war about to start with La Familia. May the victor get the spoils.

also the trains coming with drugs and found in el paso and new mexico are U.S. drugs. How else could they be getting through 2 stops and the bridge before getting caught in the U.S. I mean are we suppose to believe the train was not scanned like our cars when they come over the bridge.U.S. has got to get this straight or there will be changes.

I think American's are starting to wake up. The cartels, et al had better watch out. A slow burn can still light the fuse. I've met so many aggressive Mexicans lately, I thought it was just 'bad manners.' It is, but it is also "the plan in action."

I think we are sitting on a powder keg, & swinging our legs idly, while Chico is sneaking up with a pack of matches.
