["City Rep. Eddie Holguin felt it was necessary to publish his decision to vote no on the quality-of-life bonds in the El Paso Times.

I think everyone in El Paso already knew that Holguin, also known as "Representative No," would vote against anything that is progressive in this city.
Thank goodness not everyone on our City Council agrees with Holguin.
If they did, we would probably be in the same situation as the Village of Vinton, where they can't even approve a clean-water and sewage system for their community.

Holguin would say we can't place that kind of burden on our community. David Macias"]

Mr Macias' problem is that he does not understand the way to reach out to the citizens is sometimes through the Daily newspaper. He has the right to issue his views and why he believes they way he does and did at the time of the article. I happen to agree with Mr Holguin in the city should not have agreed prior to city council's vote in June to accede to the wishes of Foster and Hunt outside of city council. Ms Wilson, Mr Ortega, Mrs Byrd and Mayor John Cook were for the idea before hand and before voting. It would be nice is the e-mails that flew from one to the other showed it was discussed in any way the purchase of the ball team and what Mr Hunt and Foster were asking. IF this is the case then there was a gross violation of the Open Meeting Laws of the State of Texas.

I still hold out hope that Stephanie Townsend-Allala and the others in her group are able to prove up the allegations and make it impossible for the city to continue with this venture. IF this continues there is always the chance that city will in the future go into bankruptcy and that by it self will cause problems with all the people who are retired and have a retirement with the city.

Townsend is a shark. They don't call her "The Terminator" for nothing. She will get to the bottom of this and heads will roll. She can definitely bring home the bacon and fry it up in a pan and my money is on her in more ways that one.

Just on the news, the city is considering a water park (company is researching) at Cohen Stadium.

THIS IS A DESERT PEOPLE!!

We already have a Wet 'n Wild and Fort Bliss has their own mini-water park. Just how much water do these idiots think we have?

The downtown stadium has to use potable water because the purple pipe system isn't close enough to use that non-potable water.

Here come more water restrictions on residents!

Well you just crossed the line. There are young adults here and people who don't appreciate that type of language. Have some respect, please.

How long did it take for you to understand there are people on this site and others whose whole life is involved in making salacious and nasty remarks and if there is no one to make and answer to their remarks then they make up a name and answer themselves. It is unfortunate the monitors of TOPIX do not do their jobs or have someone here in town do it for them. It almost take an act of congress to get the monitors to act in a timely proper manner.

Young adults are worst than the older people. Hell my last 22 year old girlfriend taught me things in bed that would make most men blush.

Can you let us in on a few of them? I've been trying to spice up things with my wife but so far they haven't worked.

Most men would probably prefer your daughter on all fours instead of your lard butt vieja.

You're barking up the wrong tree with that - Russell is gay and has been for years. The woman he's sometimes seen with is a beard.
