By Jesse Martinez EL PASO, Texas
A few hours after arriving into El Paso, a second University of Southern California player made a negative tweet about his visit to the Sun Bowl.

A KFOX14 iSpot reporter was able to capture the original tweet, which was deleted several hours later.

"@LWtrojan94: Out here in El Paso.(Expletive) city but glad I can enjoy this moment wit the USC family"

The Twitter account belongs to Leonard Williams, a freshman defensive end for the Trojans.

Earlier this month, USC linebacker Tony Burnett tweeted his concerns about visiting the Sun City.

"Georgia Tech!? El Paso, Texas!? New Years Eve!? FML," Burnett tweeted. "I've been to El Paso no one wants to be there New Year's Eve #sorrynotsorry."

Both players' comments generated a lot of negative feedback from El Pasoans.
"My town is not '(Expletive)'" @LWtrojan94 but your attitude obviously is," tweeted Noah Smartt.

"I am very sorry I didn't mean what I said I am very grateful to be here with my Tojan family Andy comment just came out wrong," Williams tweeted. "I also think the people in El Paso are very welcoming and made me feel at home. Once again I apologize for speaking with out thinking."

When USC head coach Lane Kiffin arrived in El Paso Wednesday, KFOX14 asked him about Burnett's controversial tweet.
"That was not the feeling of our team or our people," Kiffin said. "He has obviously apologized and learned from that situation, and, like I said, we're excited to be here."

Hours later, Williams made his controversial tweet.
This isn't the first time USC has expressed its concerns about visiting the Sun City. In 1998, USC quarterback Carson Palmer also made negative comments.

Well boys and girls looks like what the USC Coach ought to do is send both young men home as they really I mean really don't wanna be here. To bad they can not behave themselves. The Coach should take their phones away from them or at least sit down with the entire team and tell them that making objectionable comments can affect their team scholarship status. "Okay boys here is whats going to happen. We are gonna practice and we are gonna behave ourselves and we're not gonna say anything bad. We're lucky to have made it this far they way we played this year. Nuff said?"

Truth hurts... El Paso IS a 3rd world city. The Sun Bowl is by far the worst bowl game for the players and fans to go to. What is there to do in that garbage dump of a city?

It kind of seeems like the USC team might be protesting the injustice of the David Leonard Wood case and the massive court corruption that has gone on for decades in El Paso since the days of the old west...where you were convicted solely on hearsay, rumours and corruption..despite DNA and science prooving a $poor$ person's innocense.

Things need to change in El Paso and be more equal and educated like in California

Just how stupid can you be. read the thread before joining the discussion. The one on death row needs to be taken to the chamber and strung up with all the drugs, hung. shot and drawn and quartered.

For someone coming from Coffeyville Kansas where there is nothing but inbreeding colonies that consist of members of the Westboro Baptise Satanic Cult Movement.

As for the USC people, To Bad You Weren't Good Enough to go to a more superior bowl than the Sun Bowl.
Hopefuuly this is the last time you are invited to our city, you surely are not worth going out to see you play in to Sun Bowl and you surely are not worth the 2,000,000. payout!
