I worked for Delia for three years, I left that office because i finished college. I hope she wins office again, because Valerie Sanchez is something else. Its obvious she is only running, because Delia let her go, FOR A REASON! Shes just angry, she aint about trying to improve the office. She is simply trying to get in to fire everyone that she is pissed at, and to try and bring in all those dumb ass ladies that follow her, especially Joanne Avila. All the ladies following her were FIRED FOR A REASON! JOANNE, SANDRA, LINDA, EMMA, NANCY, CHARLIE.... YOU WERE ALL FIRED FOR A REASON, GET OFF THAT UN-EMPLOYEMENT, AND GO LOOK FOR ANOTHER JOB.
VOTE FOR DELIA! SHE HAS DONE WONDERS FOR THAT OFFICE. I WOULD LOVE TO GO WORK FOR HER AGAIN!

I completely agree. Valerie has no business running. She is nothing but angry.

I work for Delia Briones, I can tell you that she has always been fair and professional. Compared to the last County Clerk , this lady has turned this office into an effective and an productive place of business. I am a die hard republican, and I still voted for her because if her being so capable in her efforts.
Keep up the great work

Petro, you will never overcome your ADD, you FTG salami holster. Richard Simmons could kick your ass, you miserable fäg. This forum is fortunate that your attention span is so low that you cannot focus on any topic for ore than ten seconds. You have yet to post anything intelligent, coherent with any social redeeming value.

You can't even spell DC's moniker right, you cross-dressing mamon. It's "lower value dave." Got it?

Now get your fast-flattening, tranny nalguitas out to the truck stop. There is a train inside a trailer there waiting for you to pull it.

I am sure that all terminations were valid. Civil Service is not going to allow anybody to be wrongfully terminated. Valerie Sanchez needs to disclose the reason behind her termination from the County Clerk's office. I am sure that people will truly see her for what she really is--an angry ex-employee willing to retaliate against Delia Briones for trying to better the department. I am voting Delia all the way!!!!!!!!!!

The $5.00 Records Management fee CANNOT go towards easing the tax burden, the Texas State Legislation under Records Management is clearly defined, the money is generated to "preserve" records and after 10 years the State finally raised it into $10.00 effective September 2013 as stated on the County Clerk Website. If you research the original bid and contract on the County Purchasing Site you can clearly see in the Bid documents that adding the name of the Clerk who applied the monies to preserving these historical books was done at no additional costs to adding the name of the Clerk, there were none applied to the Ft. Worth County Clerk who did the same thing.
As for the "at will statement" of Managers and Supervisors this is a procedure followed by all large corporations that pay top salary officials monies to work as many hours as needed to get the job done. I doubt the Civil Service Commissiion and County Attorney woulld have approved this practice if it was illegal or unethical, and it had to go through them first and this practice is followed by other County Departments. Federal and State Records show that in the last 8 years there have only been 5 lawsuits and two of them were settledn because the litigants chose the money instead of taking their chances in Court. Open records also showed that 81 people were terminated in the last eight years so that would be about 10 a year which is not unusual for an office that staffs as many people as this large office does.
Civil Service policies protect government employees and an expectation of progressive disciplinary practices are mandatory, you cannot just "fire" county employees on a whim you have to make certain that every HR protection is followed and the documentation justifies the termination, if not you would have a lawsuit for every firing.
As an employer I expect an employee to work especially if they are there to serve the community and if they cannot do the job then they cannot continue to receive the taxpayer monies to just show up and stand there. Unemployment is very high and you can bet for every person who does not want to work or feels like 20 years in the County earns them the right NOT to do anything, there are ten hungry unemployed persons that are willing to just go in there and do the job.
If firing employees and personality of the Elected Official is all you got to run on as a platform then let me suggest that you never seek a Presidential appointment or higher office. People ALWAYS hate employers who MAKE them work and EARN their money, I know I hate it when my employer expects me to get to work on time, make personal phone calls during my breaks ONLY and of all things has the nerve to question me when I am out ill several weeks out of the year, gesssh who the heck do they think they are?

Valerie doesn't want people to know that her lazy butt was thrown out because she spent more time reading employees emails so she could get off on their conversations. She stalked the females and would send them flowers, everyone knew why she called all the females to her office.
