Nothing you say makes any sense. If the kids are our future, then remove the obstacles to their learning. Most El Paso school administrators are thinking only of themselves and use their students, or their subordinates, to parrot their warped ideas. These were damn fine administrators. At Austin High, the students took to the street yesterday to express their support of Tanner. They testified to his integrity and the hard work he put in to save the school. We should hearken to these kids message and consider carefully the impact that a termination could have. Remember, the kids are our future and they made some damn fine points on the new yesterday. It was well thought out and not a pot smoking free-for-all. Plus they gave up their holiday to have their voices heard.
You seem to be an employee of the public schools, perhaps and underling of one of the administrators. On the other hand, you may just be afraid of an upheaval that might make you and your peers face the choice of becoming competent, or removing yourself from the education field. Conformity with the State standards is seen by many administrators and teachers as a threat to their existence. El Paso should be the last locale in the State to either set standards, or suggest them, for the rest of the State. Conform if you can, and if it is beyond your ken, save your self embarrassment by getting out of the education field. If you have a tiny bit of self esteem, do yourself the favor by vacating the education field.
