My bride and I will be visiting El Paso Thanksgiving week to find housing for our upcoming move here. Does anyone know of nice restaurants offering a Thanksgiving dinner?

Thanks!

There are several fine options for you to consider, based upon what type of cuisine you like. In these parts, a traditional turkey dinner is offered but some prefer a more native affair with tamales, pesoles and frijoles. Let me know what type of food you like and I'll give you several options to choose from. If your wife has a delicate constitution, you might stick with turkey and dressing because some folks take a while to adjust to the local cooking. I'd hate for you to spend your holiday with your wife in the crapper because of the runs instead of engaging in sightseeing, house hunting and lovemaking.

Thanks so much! We are wide open: anything from traditional New England to rustic Southwest or Mexican. We never met a cuisine we didn't enjoy! Key thing is we want to do it at a place open on Thanksgiving Day and that is special and quite nice.

I should maybe also clarify that my bride and I just celebrated our 40th wedding anniversary!!

Hey C T these folks are from out of town. They don't want to go to a place and eat grease with a bunch of rif raf wade through trash pooped up diappers and step on broken glass in the parking lot just to go inside and listen to a bunch of people jacking their jaws in Spanish. The Cattleman's is the place around here. They don't try and serve a family of 6 or 10 people for under 20 or 30 bucks and leave no tip.

I'd advise him to stay away from Cattleman's because they put oysters int he dressing. Last year I ate a whole bunch of it so I would get in the mood to ball my boyfriend after the Cowboys game. However, the oysters loused up my insides something fierce and I had to call off the funny business. Nothing is worse than interrupting someone from going down on you so that you can run like a bat out of hell to the crapper. No matter how hard I clenched my butt cheeks, I couldn't hold it.

Yep I 'am the white dude marrried to the Chihuahuan Mexican gal and have 1/2 beaner familia. very good. What does that have to do with this topic of Thanksgiving eating places in ElPaso for new out of town people. By the way where is your husband from?
