Are you all in a time warp? Those are young people being young. They meant no harm to anyone and suddenly they lose their jobs over it? Come on? Were you never young? I never read the terms of my job contract when I was young. I'm sure they didn't either. Think about it. I'm sure you won't have any more trouble from them.

I saw no reason to fire these individuals. You guys went way to far. Give them back their jobs or the public will boycott your facillity. I totally agree they ought to have had permission, but the punishment does not fit the crime

The City Manager should stop and look in the mirror first, I'm sure he/she has done a lot worse. Like used city car and gas for personal reasons, etc. It was innocent fun and no harm to anyone. The people of El Monte should make sure that the city manager does not have a job after his/her contract ends.
