People like High represent Americans in the worst way. Chip Stark was a human being. A loved member of a family. He died a tragic death. People like High take advantage of a families grief and sorrow to make a cheap joke for himself. The parents, brothers and sisters, neices and nephews of Chip Stark have lost someone they love forever. They're grieving and grief striken. Yet someone like High takes the time not to comfort them or show sympathy, but instead to get a laugh at the expense of these people. It's shameful and disgusting. And makes you wonder what kind of person gets pleasure from hurting the family of this man.

Our deepest condolences and prayers are with the family of Chip Stark at this sad time. May he Rest In Peace.

im curious as to how this can happen? was the car to heavy for the jack stands? was the car not properly squared up on the stands? i know if you put jack stands on certain types of pavement they will sink in, but this is trajic and i feel for this mans family. i do alot of work on my own cars and i contemplate this scenario alot. but i go to sometimes extreme measures to make sure im safe.

And this is one of the reasons the common citizen cannot work on their own airplane. Lifting a car is a big deal. Quite dangerous even with done correctly. My sympathy for the family. Hopefully an investigation does not show the man used blocks of wood on cracked asphalt.

Coming from someone who often works on his own cars, this is scary. Knowing that if this car fell on him and killed him, it was more than likely instant and painless. Hope everyone takes necessary precautions when working under a vehicle.

Actually, the common citizen's airplane weighs less than a car, and does not need to be lifted...plus, you can do minor things like change the oil.

Sorry to hear this. I like to work on my car all the time. I use a jack and jackstands as backup all the time. I also block the wheels to be sure the car cannot roll.

Dying this way is not that unusual.

Be careful backyard mechanics.
