Dave is one of my closest friends with our friendship beginning during our tenure with the Arizona Drug Endangered Children's Program at the Attorney General's office.  Dave was an incredible advocate for young children who were victims of their parent's meth usage and he was vigilant in his efforts to make a good case for the prosecution.  He was also my right hand in training the state of Arizona on the harmful effects of meth and the issues associated with meth labs.  Dave has continued his efforts to fight drug related crimes by becoming half of a great K9 drug team.  The citizens of Youngtown and the west valley cities have benefited from having Dave and his dogs take illegal drugs off the street.  He and the entire team at Youngtown PD have clearly made a difference in their community.  It seems they are deserving of a fair timeline to transition to other law enforcement jobs.

Dave Evans and his drug dog are also responsible for scaring drug dealers away from setting up shop in our town. With them gone, and our police protection consisting of a sheriff deputy driving through the town occasionally, the drug dealers will soon declare Youngtown a safe haven.

Youngtown is a perfect haven for gangs and drug dealers. Houses are selling for $30,000. Investors are snapping them up. Cheap rental houses are on every block. ONLY OUR POLICE DEPARTMENT is preventing the influx of gangs and drug houses!

If the mayor and the council take this action, they will be literally dooming this town.
