Parks & Sons keeps lid on costs

There are 9 comments on the www.yourwestvalley.com story from Jan 6, 2009, titled Parks & Sons keeps lid on costs. In it, www.yourwestvalley.com reports that:

At a time when the economy is bleak and most local entities are raising their rates, local residents - especially those on fixed incomes - have a lot to worry about.

For Parks and Son's who provides garbage pickup for many residents in the Wittmann area the news is good despite a depressing economy as we enter the first quarter of the new year.

A decision made to keep prices at current rates despite rising costs of doing business is something rarely seen but Parks and Son's feel the move will help retain customers during hard times.

elkc, elkc, elkc! you strongly insinuate that the trash collection rates did not go up in the Wittmann, area." In fact " the trash collection rates did go up for the Wittmann area, to the tune of $ 2.00 per month,$ 6.00 per quarter,$ 24.00 per year. If you would just read the fucking article that you post from, you will see no mention of the Wittmann area. It would seem that the good folks at Parks and Sons, are not! the good folks you believe them to be. I for one can't figure out how, going from $48.00 per quarter to $ 54.00 per quarter for a single barrel is keeping the price at it's current level, but then you! probably can't figure out how it's not.

Mr. elkc, " I expect " a complete retraction of your statements concerning this article, to be posted in the topix Wittmann forum, a personal apology mailed out to each and every resident in the Wittmann area explaining your wrongful information concerning this matter and last but not least, your! full and final, complete resignation as managing editor of the Topix Wittmann, Metropolitan News bureau. Any thing less will not suffice. Thank you! the ever watchful M.r Simms.

J.W. maybe just YOUR rates went up. You know with all the trash you talk your barrel must be overflowing.
Elkc is doing a fine job and isn't going anywhere and isn't going to give you a mailed personal apology. And there is NOT a thing you can do about it.

It depends on what area you live in. The article reads "many residents in the Wittmann area”. If you live in what old-timers still consider Wittmann but is in fact now in Surprise City Limits then the franchise that Parks and Son's is permitted to operate under in Surprise will see their original rates. I had hoped that the report could be read at face value, since there is are numerous zones you go through, from cell phone areas to flood districts to city limits to county islands. For instance you go a mile either direction off Grand and you enter a roaming area if you contract with Verizon, for other cell phone companies you can go up through five different carriers before reaching Toyota's Proving Grounds. So we can move on to something that really can contribute to our community ...Trash Service by Parks and Son's didn't increase for Wittmann residents living in Surprise City limits.

What you are saying doesn't make any fucking sense, Wittmann, residents living in Surprise city limits? wouldn't that make them Surprise residents? that's like saying I'm a Glendale resident but I live in the Phoenix city limits, WRONG!!. You are a resident of the city in which you reside. If you live in Wittmann, you are a Wittmannnite, but if you live in Surprise, then you are an asshole. Now all of this holds true, unless of course you have a home in both Wittmann and Surprise, then of course, like your cell phone you are free to roam. I can see why you are anxious to move on, this whole Parks and Sons article must have caused you a great deal of embarrassment, so feel free to move on. J. W. Simms.

Not really it goes to show that even though Surprise has annexed portions of Wittmann the people still identify as being residents of Wittmann because they do not feel connected to the City of Surprise. This is important to discuss now that we have the elections and politics behind us because it adds to the debate as to why we who are not in Surprise City limits would benefit any further by their attempts to encroach their city limits further out in to the county. I was hoping someone would speak up and say wait you drive in and out of Surprise three times in and along an area six miles west of Grand on Patton. As well much of an area south of Jomax extending back to the White Tanks is Surprise. The only benefit the people have received by being in the city of Surprise is they saved a few bucks on the trash service? That was among the debates I was hoping to see evolve. I thought that had begun when one suggestion was…no way- my rates went up! Another posting suggested theirs never changed, and then the talk circled back to trashing the report rather than trying to figure out why the guy across the street from you might have not seen an increase while you may have? The report obviously did what I had intended it to do and that is create a response. The news isn't always about answering your questions. It can be just as much about causing you to ask more and different questions which in doing so bring the true axis of the community out and provides a platform, for a voice that would otherwise have remained silent.

Nice to see this outfit "keeps costs down"; sure they do, by hiring illegals who use stolen US citizen's ID to steal jobs from Americans. What a wonderful company! This company should not only be shut down permantly but the owner's should be arrested and thrown in prison. Better yet, since they like to hire illegals that use stolen ID's, these assh*le owner's should be deported to mexico, regardless of their race. If they like using cheap brown labor to line their pockets, they should go live at the source of these lowlife scumbag illegals.

If it's brown, shoot it down.

Sieg Heil!
