<quoted text>Snipers normally operate in teams. Welcome aboard. I've been shooting this rifle for 31 years now. That idiot wouldn't stand a chance. I've hunted for over 30 years, & spent 12 in the service w/1 short combat tour.
I guess I had a short combat tour, I was in Nam for a year.
I also, hit what I shoot at. I do love deer and elk hunting. I have hunted since I was about 14 years old.

Yeah, simple logic. Criminals are not rational beings. They commit crimes out of need. Just because citizens will be armed, you think criminals needs will stop? No. Criminals will do what they need to do to get what they need.

<quoted text>
There is a limit to what one can carry and reasonably conceal from prying eyes, especially in warm weather. It's difficult to conceal a Desert Eagle under a t-shirt.

Criminals, for a goodly part, use whatever weapons they can get their hands on, and in a good number of cases, those weapons fall into the "pos" categories.

But, based on your assertion that they will continue to predate on society, and even upgrade their weaponry, it behooves the law abiding to arm themselves prophylactically.

this report shows you are wrong. look at the countries with the most homicides: Colombia, Honduras and El Salvador. i don't think they have gun registration laws nor regulate gun ownership at all. and they rank among the most dangerous places to live in the world:

What warm fuzzy world do you live in? Do you want to try and ban guns from the world? Those places you mentioned are all either in the middle of a civil war or drug cartels are battling with the authorities. Let's take a look a little closer to home at some of the cities with the toughest gun control laws like DC. Gun deaths seem to follow drug use. In cities where drug use is high, the gun deaths also seem to be high. Higher in the cities where guns are illegal. So we should outlaw drugs and the problem will be solved! Oh wait....we did that! Well then, if drugs are illegal, how do people get them? Oh wait, that only works in your warm fuzzy world!

No, your tour would be considered long. Desert Storm was less than 3 months duration. I have never hunted elk, but would love to go out west and hunt mule deer & elk w/black power.

I can't figure out which is worse, the one that let Congress run us in the ditch and didn't have sense enough to Veto the legislation or the Dumb SOB that hasn't got enough sense to let the American people get out of the ditch. Running into the ditch happens once in a while but to continue to support someone that keeps us in the ditch is pure stupidity!
