If you want an example of "Death Panel," you only have to look to a clerk sitting at a desk in the office of your healthcare insurance company. The bottom line is PROFIT. Withholding of healthcare is an everyday occurrence, based upon age of the insured. Got prostate cancer above age 70? "Watchful waiting" is what you will get.
" ... some of these stupid people with high IQ's don't realize they will get old someday, too ... " !!!! What are you TALKING about? I don't think you have "common sense."
So you think nobody is going to make a profit with Obamacare? Is that what you are trying to say in your garbled message? I don't think you have common sense..........I know you don't have common sense!

BlueLetterBible has 18 versions of the Bible on its website. Plus there is the Douay-Rheims Catholic bible, plus the Holman Christian Standard Bible and the Book of Mormon.

And they are all identically the same and have no errors!_8-)

Is that what your "common sense" tells you, "Norton"?

I am sure that you never eat pork. And are circumcised. The Bible is very clear on these points.

Sure. So guess where my brains are.

I know where YOUR brains are ... you love God with all your HEART! ROFL!(Psssst, "Norton" -- the heart does not think -- it merely pumps blood.)

Look, "Norton"! So you think that I do not have common sense. Fair enough!

I don't think that you have ANY sense!

And, yes -- I am sure that the fatcat healthcare industry will continue making profits, but hopefully not as much as the obscene profits they are making now. The "Affordable Care Act" forces the healthcare industry to provide a certain percentage of its receipts for healthcare benefits to its subscribers -- or REFUND a percentage!

From the IRS -- Medical Loss Ratio (MLR):

Beginning in 2011, insurance companies are required to spend a specified percentage of premium dollars on medical care and quality improvement activities, meeting a medical loss ratio (MLR) standard. Insurance companies that are not meeting the MLR standard will be required to provide rebates to their consumers beginning in 2012.

I am so grateful that God provided us with:

1. the Internet
2. digital communications devices
3. digital photography
4. word processors
5. spell-check and grammar-check
6. automobiles
7. ice cream
8. a brain with which to enjoy all the above

(If you ever want to read some "kiss-up" declarations, just read the introduction to the KJV in which King James' scholars tell him how great he is!)

NORTON, NORTON, I believe you're getting older....but common sense? Come on! That includes the ability to use new, changing information to adapt.....you do not display that attribute. Christians in general are doing a great job though. There are over 50 versions of the Bible now (in English) to make sure inerrancy evolves.
I have always loved this quotation, used by Thoreau when he was lambasted by someone incorrectly with the same old 'common sense' nonsense:

"There is absolutely no common sense; it is all common nonsense."

People use the 'common sense card' when their argument holds less water than an adult diaper.

I agree with your post—thanks for the response. It is good to find intellectual Christians who take the time to think and not react with their gut only.

All things are a result of Free Will—that's what God gave everyone including you. Use it to abuse sarcasm and poor Christian insults. I admire good sarcasm—when will you provide some?

They are already making obscene profits afforded them by the new ObamaCare. If you believe those prices will be reduced because the government is involved, you have never studied governance and its inherent lack of skills required for anything beyond the superficial. You are biased and naive—and those are your most endearing traits.

It reminds me of the plot by the Obamites to raise gasoline prices to equal those of Europe, so they could tax us into oblivion. The prices went up and never came down. The government is like a heroin addict—you give them more, and they will require more.

Anything that the government becomes involved in, they screw up. Take the Post Office as the best example. They are obsolete and will be out of business soon. Private enterprise will take over and do it better—unless the socialists like you take over and destroy private enterprise altogether.

And I appreciate your posts as well....your quote is most appropriate. NORTON probably has a true grasp on HIS interpretation of the Bible but he is so enamored by his self professed 'common sense' he is undaunted by obstacles such as facts. When he is contradicted he's perfectly comfortable in his oblivion.
NORTON judges my concepts of Christianity as evil and irreverant because I call his narrow-mindedness a handicap. I am inclined to believe God exists but I like to think He has enough self confidence to invite mortals to exercise free will by asking questions and looking for answers.
I've encouraged NO-NO-NORTON to investigate beyond the KJV Holy Bible. Missouri Baptist University has an extensive collection of texts not only about Christianity and the Bible; but also on Islam, Buddhism, Judaism, atheism, satanism, etc. Their philosophy is a better understanding of spiritual beliefs provides a broader worldview rather than blasphemy as construed by NORTON.

What are you....one of those New Agers? I could care less about those other religions. They are cults! The Holy Bible is all I need. The Bible says not to add to it or take away from it. You need to study some eschatoloty and find the real truth. We all have a free will. Adam and Eve had a free will. The disobeyed God and you see where that got them. That is how sin started. That is why we are all sinners. Jesus died for our sins..........AND all we have to do is believe that. How much more simple can that be? People try to make it so complicated. Blaspheming the Holy Spirit is the unforgiveable sin. I don't need a broader view........the truth is in the Bible. People have tried to destroy it but they will never get that done. I hope if Missouri Baptist Univ. has all those other text it is to prove they are all cults. We have a free will to go to heaven or hell. It's up to each individual.
