Thats the second time in as many months that EDH Sheriff was called there for a shooting. Do we think the addition of the low income apartments has anything to do with it? I used to live in the Vinyards and all was good. Right after they opened the low income, things started going wrong. I moved, I still live near a low income area and I don't have the problems. Its like they called the ghetto and offered them a move in special in EDH.

Shocking that people like you survive in society. When did stereotyping looks and race be a reason why people are guilty? Why cant you look at the evidence to suspect his guilt? Wonder why poeple question our justice system!

After reading the majority of these posts I'm embarrassed to say that I'm from Sacramento, Ca. Why is everyone over there so racist. It's sad this young woman died and I hope they get to the bottom of it.

Some of you need to change your attitudes. It's disgusting.

Having worked in television news for a considerable part of my life, I can tell you with absolute certainty that murder and mayhem have no color. The killing mentality however, does seem more attributable to lower income levels on the whole. There are the statistics for your average middle income folks and higher income types committing such crimes as well.

I do agree about the low income, I cannot fathom the racial slandering. My Hispanic step-mother of 35 years has a Masters degree, is highly intelligent, very wealthy and travels in dignified circles, including the White House. I wonder that anyone who saw her would do the same stereotyping in these posts that is typically reserved for the ignorant.

I hope that my fellow neighbors in EDH don't jump on this racist bandwagon. Last time I checked the Speaker of our State Legislature was Hispanic as well.

Low income - yes.

Racial profiling - no.

You know your right all those minoritys...I think I'm a pretty brite guy. This isn't the first time or probly the last. We here about them all the time. You know that Waco shooting, you know it was those people. Same thing with Columbyne, those were probably the same ones or their couzins. I wouldn't dout that's why our gas prices are so high because they are always driving there cars up here. You all know what I meen.

The last poster is correct as to the income levels, it also seems to be 2nd generation males, maybe the immigrant parents think they have done enough to get here and provide the opportunity, but the "kids" don't seem to see it that way. As to the low income housing the tennants are screened but you can't screen the "friends". Stereotypes are based on previous experience though

What if a Mexican with money bought a home in EDH? Would you freak out? What's with all the racist stuff? Yeah, the guy looked like scum, but what does race have to do with it? I'd be more worried if I saw a black person in EDH than a Mexican.

I am from ELD and I am disgusted to know there are so many racists living around me. I don't wish harm on anyone but I truely hope that you racists face a tragedy in your lives that prove to you that you should fear every color. Hahaha the sad part is you guys would probably be so busy calling the cops on a Mexican guy that is innocent that you wouldnt realize there's a white guy in your house robbing you. Mexicans may be stereotyped as criminals but many whites get away with murder cause of ignorant people like you who are blinded by color. I feel sorry for you. I really do.

please stop being so rascist. were all from the same maker. murder doesnt have a color then again most of the time when some one is murdered red is the final color you see. stop all the BS about color. it could have been a white guy that did this. Scott perterson is white, so is charles manson. I am white and I won't be killing anyone ever. one of My best friend is black. my lawyer is black my hand doctor is black and the first child I had was brought into this world by a black dcotor. The only reason white people do not like mexicans is cause they work the tails off. most white people are lazy. who cares what color you are. If you kill someone your a killer period doesnt matter what color you are. God bless the girls family and pray for them.

So if poor people are basically the killers, what is George Bush? His stupidity and arrogance are more deadly that 100,000 guns! More deadly than maybe 500,000 guns, 1000 tanks, 10,000 bombs, a bunch of other munitions..

If he were hispanic, would that make him more poor? More of a killer?

I'm sure if he were Hispanic, Bush would be MORE intelligent..

There are lots of bad people in every race, more crime in the zones of lower economic health. China's slaves are doing very well, now, so are India's. America's slaves/economic servants are caught in impossible economic conditions.

The upper class should work to resolve this, or expect ever stronger backlash from the underclass. In France, the underclass rose up and chopped off a lot of rich heads. In america there is crime and muggings, other crimes also reflect the restive underclass. It will get worse at the bottom levels, especially with millions of illegals unable to 'come up for air'- and especially the few but deadly violent criminal illegals. That threat is totally real, and we, as a society can and must resolve these issues.

It is a time of world war and chaos between the haves, and the have-nots. Clean abundant energy, then water and other products, can resolve these problems. Energy in abundance can allow humans to solve the other problems. So there is absolute reason to hope, persevere, and work hard.

This racist stuff has me really surprised. Just shows me that most of you - NOT all - from EDH are truly ignorant snobs. You get so uptight if you see someone of a different race in your neighborhood. How pathetic. You'd probably run and call the cops if a Mexican was walking down your street. It makes me so glad I don't like in EDH.

You are correct, EDH is a white area, he did not belong there...and his presence should have been a red flag...but for the victim...it's too late!
PS ash, if it quacks like a duck...
Can you explain to the rest of us just who who belongs in EDH? You say it's a "white neighborhood". So are you saying if someone isn't white, they don't belong there? That's sounds like a truly ignorsnt statement. You sure sound like a racist. It's the ones like you that keep racism alive and kicking.

And one of the apartments got rid of security at night because they said they didn't need security. Funny, doesn't appear that way.

From what I am reading, the comments regarding race are not being generated by the good people of EDH. Please look at the origin of the post prior to formulating an opinion, on top of lumping everyone in together. Thank you.

It isn't surprising, Mexicans and other minorities kill all the time. It's always in the news, especially larger cities like Sac. For this dude to be in E.D.H., he was way out of his league. Like there wouldn't be a RED FLAG with a guy like that in the area? Helloooooo! More than likely HE DID IT and should pay. If he didn't, was he just driving around with a body in his car? I highly doubt it! Fess up, you're going to the pokey anyway, you might want to save yourself a week on a life sentence. Doesn't bother me, one less Mexican removed from an area he doesn't belong in!! If I saw him in my neighborhood, I would watch him and call the cops in a heartbeat. What do they expect? They're either in gangs or something else bad in his age group. That's the way it is. Then the minorities wonder why other people don't want them around. Duh!
WOW!
People, just read the above comments.Extreme racism!
If uneducated groups can not tolerate other races, then they don't belong anywhere and should be watched closely. Minorities!!Huh,Where are you originaly from? This country is not even 300 years old. If you are ashamed of your past or your ancestors thats another story!

This murder victim has a name, it's Angie from South Sac. She lied to her family about where she was going that evening. Seems teenagers these days think little of the concequences of their actions. For those of u that live in EDH's and are afraid of minorities.......my god how shallow......lock your doors and hide under the blankets!

they are just saying what they wont say to someone face, thats why they dont put there real names, cause someone might do alittle research and find out where they work then ask them in person how they really feel, but they would run and call the cops. Being the wussies that they truly are. but i guess it makes them feel better, they are prolly "beating" themselvs up right now, reading all the negative reponses to their comments 'oh yea, oh yea 10 more replies to my comments!......aaahhhh!!
