The proposed roadway is too little. It needs to be an 6 lane expressway that could serve as a 'weekend' freeway.
Also, will 18-wheelers be able to use it? Or would the noise level be too much for a major roadway going right through a sleepy semirural community? This roadway isn't being sold as a true freeway. The Joint Powers Authority ought to, perhaps, cite a known positive example of this type of road being used elsewhere. I believe Roseville has a few roads approaching this type of use. |
