my husband has been paying child support for 8 months and the child support is saying hes not! even when they were showing that they were holding it out of his check it wasnt going to his childs mother they would tell her that he wasnt making payments and now they arent even holding it out although they sent a paper saying that they were going to hold it out 14 days after they filed the letter and all his information! finally i told his childs mother to get a lawyer and try to get something done about it!

If they send a father to jail because he's late on child support, how do they expect him to find work & pay for it? Sitting in jail is only going to put him more behind. Makes no sense..if a father does the right thing & is unemployed & has been laid off & calls child support to explain his situation, thy don't help..they just issue a warrant. That's union county, crooks everywhere you go & it wont ever change.

I have been going through this child support office now for 6 or 7 years and what I would like to know is, can I change offices or do I have to stay at that one. I have gotten the child support a hand full of times, he is never arrested for it and just gets away with it. He moves often and gets jobs and keeps them until he gets the first check and quits. I call and report helpful information about his where abouts and they just say they have to confirm it and by that time he is gone. He was served papers in person and didn't show to court whereas I drove 4 hours to show up...he never seems to have a warrant for non payment and at one point I knew he lived at his parents and told them that and gave the address and his mother said he didn't stay there and she didn't know where he was...lie and she then asked to have her information taken off their system and they did, she covers for him.

We went to court because my husband's ex took us in front of landers for childsupport.
We had the kids for over ten years without a red dime from her, nothing.
Then the kids who were teens decided to go and try living with her and we said yes. She only had them for one year when she took us to court for child support and got it. We couldn't afford an attorney and Landers didn't even listen to us.
Now, she doesn't live in arkansas anymore and only has one of the kids, the other one lives with his grandma. We tried to get something done but it was like bashing a brick wall. This is just BS plain and simple. I wish something could be done but we ran into roadblocks everywhere we turned and still are paying too much in child support when she paid nothing when we had them all those years. Yet, she collects almost five hundred damn dollars a month and she doesn't even have one of them.
Our 2 sons both went up against Landers...he always sides with the mom....our one Grandson, consequently has been arrested numerous times for drugs, alcohol, etc....because that is what his mom does, but the Judge saw it differently, and the 18 year old daughter with no high school education now has a baby and lives with her boyfriend. In effect, this "Judge" ruined their lives because they would have been better off with the Father.

Landers does not always side with the mother. We went up in front of him (we are Aunt and Uncle) and we won.

It happens to men too, they try to get ex for child support, giving place of work even head office #. All he got was a letter saying he needed to come in and fill out paper to et search started. Just a BS runaround. All the state offices here need to be investigated because we are tired of crooked mess. Workforce development no better. They will get people a job and it is low level grunt labor then give them very smallcheck a month and work them like this for 2 to 3 mos. nobody should have to work 120to140 hrs a mont for 122 dollars. YES it is happening here all the time. They say they will help you with job training but for fast food or janitorial work then don't even pay minimum wage. Jail inmates working beside them get 10 dollars hr to help pay off fines. There is something wrong here and it needs to be fixed. Need to do audits on all these state offices here and see exactly what is happening.

The child support office has always been crooked. Still needs to be investigated. They treat the honest folk just like the deadbeats, I needs to be stopped, good people always getting hurt by the dishonest in that office

Those of you that think some need spell check, it is the site, if you type fast it will drop letters, or even words. Yes child enforcement office here just another my friends and who I know agency. If you go in there and are not an acquaintance or relative you may get treated however. DHS, rental assistance, all are like this here. Have tried to assist others with these agencies and it is frustrating at the least. What gets me is our tax dollars pay for this office, but they will take part of the child support for costs like a private company. If it is showing you did not pay it could be because someone living large off your money besides your kids.

This whole process of child custody is a very sad thing to see go down. Not only is one parent gonna get custody, but putting through kids through stuff like this is not an easy thing for them to experience. I hope that we find ways to make this process more smooth and less painful for those going through it.

Today I am trying to transfer my case to my home state.
For some damn reason the phone is disconnected.
I called little rock and they said that's the only number they got.
Then the rude heifer hung up...

Seriously ugh!!

They should have been investigated. They laugh at you over the phone. Some sit and cough while you speak. You have some in there will literally tell you to do their job. You have to everything you paying them to do and yes we pay. Arkansas is the only state that charges child father and mother. My case manager told my child's father to leave the state of Arkansas so we can't serve you a warrant or suspend his license because he's out of jurisdiction and Arkansas don't extradite for child support. He left and came back and played homeless and got off basically.

When my ex-husband and I separated 3 years ago, he got temporary custody. When we went in front of Landers, it was all about my student loans, and not custody of our children. No one was ever appointed to represent our children. His oarentd have money. I had videos of my drunk ex-husband fighting. He ran from the cops that night (Court order said that no alcohol was to be consumed in the presence of our children.) He never had anything to do with our children for ten years because he was too drunk to do anything. I had threatening text messages from him also. Landers' final decision was that we were both capable of taking care of the kids, but they should stay in El Dorado school district so that their college can be paid for! They are 6&11. I know that is is because my ex's dad works for the county. His atyirbey also knew the truth about my ex husband, but all he cared about was getting paid and getting drunk with him at the deer camp. The focus was never on the children, and that was the only thing that I was concerned with. That county is crooked!
