Yes, it is the Chambers job to recruit businesses, dipshit. It's not there job to host a bunch of meetings where everybody gets up and says "We're doing good." We haven't had any businesses of 250 employees interested in moving her, liar. Those type of businesses set up in different countries! Businesses are not hiring. Not the Chamber goober's fault, but retail places are not the ticket. Luckily, people were smart to avoid that boat plant debacle. Good luck with that Fordyce.<quoted text>
Actually--Actually it isn't the Chamber President's job to try and get Companies to locate to a city, that is the Mayor and City Council's job along with the County Judge. The Chamber President put's feelers out and try to gauge their interest into relocating to a City then the City takes over and lures them in the rest of the way. The Economic Board and the City and County leaders offer what tax breaks and other incentives they have to offer to get that Company to move here. Henry had several, not 1 or 2 but several companies interested in moving here, some with potential of over 250 employees but didnt get the help from local Government or local people that owned land, etc. Good luck to him in Wichita Falls Texas.
And Wichita Falls is a lateral move. More people, more problems. "They have A TARGET!" OMMOTHERFUCKIN G! More pay, higher cost of living. Apparently, they have family out there. Good for them. And better for us.
