When are all the changes going to take place everyone keeps talking about? A friend that works at La'Piazza said they have already found a new location since that building is being torn down to build a hotel or parking deck but I know a guy who works at einsteins and he says it is not true that it isnt being torn down? Does anyone know?

If you are going to improve downtown El Dorado then remove any unattractive blighted properties before going with new structures. The vacant buildings that housed the revenue office at one time along with the La Piazza building should be removed and a better use for this property should be planned.

I have relatives in El dorado and you are correct about getting rid of blighted unattractive structures that now exist due to owner neglect.

La Piazza/ Einstein's is a Mason ( not Masonic ) building. They lured the la Piazza people here from Ft. Worth. The Entertainment District promoters are reported to have said they will not push imminent domain. If the building were to be put into a green space forever trust, the Masons might not object. As for the former driver's license building, if a vandal repainted some night with that particular shade of pink, the city might crank up the track hoes.
