From the City Council meeting last night, the paper said that the architects did not include plans or funding for more parking spaces. You should not spend $5 million plus dollars without correcting the parking shortage.
We received grant money for a subway system. Park at the fairgrounds and ride to auditorium, convention center, etc. To keep it clean and safe, local citizens will not be allowed to ride without a permit.

I know people and groups that will not have events at places like Granite Club, Myrtelle House and Conference Center because they don't want guests parking on the street or others property.
Since the above places have limited usefulness, why would the taxpayers not want the expanded parking at the Auditorium. More people would attend evening events if the current adjoining parking lot was expanded.

Downtown is another area where more parking is desperately needed.

Honestly, the Conference Center is not any better on parking, give me a break.

The little ball field sharing the parking lot with the auditorium just needs to be taken into the existing parking. New ball fields have been built since that ball field and those should be used instead.

We were going to appropriate the ball fields between the stadium and the auditorium, but the new subway will solve all parking problems.

Are you actually talking about subterranean transportation??
And if that's the case it'll take Years.
Unless The city is just going to put a "Subway" sign on their trolley.

Maybe they've found some of those pre-Columbian tunnels that are found in South America. If they have, the Smithsonian will probably send in DHS to enforce a gag order.

Underground, it's a subway, above ground would be called elevated railway.
We will bring in captured illegal aleins, and get help from inmates from Union County Jail.
Project will be completed in time for Christmas Parade.

If we used Chinamen, they could build an underground China Town in our pre-Columbian tunnels with opium dens and crib joints offering another tourist attraction.

At least they are using a local firm. They didn't use one to build it.

We are ahead of you on the opium den. We already have plans underway for an arrest free zone with luxury hotel, casino, legalized prostitution, and the worlds largest variety of normally illegal substances. It will be conveniently located in the Thunderzone, so the employees can walk to work.

Acquire more land for parking to the West and North.
Tell the city council and economic board that there are two tracts of land on 10th street just North of the Auditorium- a day care and some run down apartments that would greatly improve the lack of parking that hurts attendance- especially at night.
