thats not what I read, it sounded to me to be a handful of jobs to start with then (another) promise of more jobs in a few years !! just a tease from them to get something for nothing.
You misread.

You guys keep talking about the poor leadership in El Dorado, and you base that on Pilgrim's, the call center, the golf ball thing and Cooper. Did you not notice that we have a new Mayor, a new County Judge and a new guy at the Chamber? All those things you complain about took place under the old "leadership". The new leadership landed Therma-Flite.

Doesn't exactly seem like same old, same old to me. We can either continue to be negative, or we can give these guys a chance.

When Therma-Flite locates here and puts "locals" to work I will make the biggest apology this forum has ever had. But all they have put here has been talk and talk don't put food on the local's tables. We have heard nothing but talk out of a half dozen companies this last year, just talk. The Convention Center and new school are not business's, it's tax dollars being spent, money going out, not coming in. The bulk of the money spent building both left here with the outside contractors. A Hot Air Balloon business could move in here and make a fortune.

We look forward to your apology. Be a man and keep your word.

If I owe an apology, it will get paid. "MY" word is good. If I tell you a rooster can pull a train, you better step off the track.

If you expect people to trust your word, perhaps you should start trusting others as well. There are some good things going on in this town.

Have heard to many companies holler wolfe about coming here. When the first wolfe starts writing paychecks to "locals" it will be different. But there is no way you can trust something you can't see.

you know what sucks about this town, people run off at the mouth not knowing what they are talking about. This town is never going to amount to anything because you have certain people run it from behind the scenes. Just look at this place, no nice resteraunts to eat at, a small business person has no chance here, our local goverment is as crooked as the day is long. I have lived here for over 30 years and nothing has changed, except for the fact we are loosing jobs left & right. People are leaving to get jobs out of state or up north of the state just to be able to support their families and they say there might be jobs coming here. What a joke.

I'm going to buy a 500 passenger shuttle bus and get rich hauling all Therma-Flit's employees to and from work.. Industrial Road don't have enough parking for all them. LMAO Am going to buy thousands of acres for them to build all those Mansions on with that high dollar money they make. HAHAHA. Therma-Flit is promising us great change, just like somebody else. El Dorado is saved. "One more" company that will be a NO SHOW. But wait, I hear General Motors are going to shut down all plants worldwide and build one giant plant in the parking lot of the Convention Center. WHOA.

Looks like you never apologized. Looks like Therma Flite did what they said and have lasted a lot longer than most new businesses here and still going strong

I agree JSP,
You see all those folks earning a good paycheck on the 167 Highway construction. It stems from Murphy USA's time on the Arkansas state board of transportation getting it to happen. Pushing for more jobs in our area. Thank You. Therma-Flite opening up here, another person pushing to get more jobs here and made it happen. Thank you.

The chamber needs to stop tooting their horn every time they think they have someone coming to open a new business. It seems that any news is good news for that group. I guess when you are clinging to straws, any little bit of fire makes you jump.
Therma Flite like several other local companies depend on strong oil prices for business. We are seeing very low oil prices which affect demand for therma flites product. They can't hire people if there is a lack of demand for their project right now. If Jobs can change OPEC and their stance in flooding the market with cheap oil then maybe we will see more job creation. Jobs is a socialist who thinks companies just hire to hire people.
