$45 -$50 per month.
2 adults.
No dish-washing machine.
No watering the lawn.
No washing the vehicles.
2 full loads of clothes to wash per week.
1 shower per person per day.

Plumber recently checked for leaks. Found none.
But he did fix/replace some things that could possibly cause issues in the future.

Still cannot figure out why the bill is so high. All the water utilities can say is to have our place checked for leaks. I guess they tell that to everyone. Like a script that they have set up for the customer support representatives to tell the customers.

Is this why the plumber has new rides in the drive??? Dang, I usely see them in court in stripes~a new thing I suppose. Kinda like UC's form of the Army Corp of Engineers. Not cool, imho.

And it tastes better and is better for you than that sorry excuse for liquid that comes out your faucet. Why need tooth paste? It already has fluoride in it!

I was at the city council meeting last night. Our city officials really stepped up they are backing the water company again your water rates will be going up 4.75% every year for the next ten years to pay for this pipeline. Thats 47% percent folks! Its time to clean house in the next election.

Agreed. It's too bad that election time in El Do is so long off.

I for one am collecting some buckets for rain water. I can at least use that for watering the flowers and flushing the toliet. And I am looking into xeroscaping so that I can use run off from the house gutters to collect to water the lawn. That is if we ever get some decent rain. Got thoughts of maybe doing some gray water from safe drains too. I ain't afraid of of using some manuel labor to save a buck.

Our water bill for July is $250.00. I knew there was going to be an increase, but this is absolutely ridiculous. Our water is provided by the Kansas City water services department. We pay $50.00 a month for wastewater run-off. Whatever that is. Guess we'll have to decide if we'd rather eat or shower!
