I can't believe what I just heard. My grandmother has been trying for weeks to get a simple copd medication from there. At the first time they only had twenty pills and charged her 99 cents and told her to come back in around week. She made it back in around 10 days and still no medicine. This time they said they put it up because it was too late. So she went back later to find out the price had doubled to $20. So she had to wait again because she is on a fixed income. It's a common inexpensive drug.

She tried to get again on Monday and when she called to get the price she was told it was over $247!!!!! She asked again and was told again $247. Thinking surely it was a mistake she waited to talk to a different person on Tuesday morning again. The price was still over $247. The 'woman' told her word for word........ she wished my grandmother would find a different pharmacy when my grandmother told it was usually $10.

When my mother called she was also by told the same lady that she told her she was recording the message, the lady said "I hope you are and I hope you all find a different pharmacy". NO PROBLEM FOLKS. It was under $13 at a better more friendly place to older people.

Walmart pharmacy has simply lost at least 5 of her prescriptions in the last few months and she had to spend money on another doctor visit each. NO MORE!!! Anyone know how to report them? I talked to someone that said he was a manager and he never called me or anyone back as promised. They have lost a whole families business.

Shame on you WALMART!!!!

You would think the way Walmart likes to brag on how they buy bulk to lower price's it would pertain the drug's also. Wheather they own or lease to the drug dept. it's under their roof. I'm a service connected DAV and get my drugs free to cheap, however I'm an errand boy for 2 different elderly folks that I pick up prescriptions for who have extremely good insurance and just run a monthly tab at Melvin's. They are very satisfied with him.

Wow,$247 for $10,$13, or $20 medicine is ridiculous! Don't they realise that older people and baby boomers make up most of the United States population? I hate it when someone picks on older or sick people like that.

Brookshires hired one of walmarts jerkoff rejects, I wouldn't go there either unless the black woman is working. Melvins is by far the best we've used.

My husband had 1 prescription filled there. He had called it in and I went to pick it up the next day...I was told that it had already been picked up. That was all they could tell me and he got no medicine...had to have doctor call it in to another pharmacy...haven't used Wal-Mart pharmacy since!

Ever notice the turn around of employment for the Walmart pharmacy? It's widely known that WM Pharm has had many employees removed for pill-swapping, pill theft and Rx alteration.

Some of those medicines are over $200 before they apply insruance. Sometimes they have trouble with those companies.

I've used Wal-Mart, Brookshires, Walgreen's, a few others, and Melvins. Melvins is the best of all of them.

I agree on that. But I have picked this same medicine up for her myself before and it was always under $10 without insurance. It's a simple steroid, I can't think of the name right now. Pred..something. She has got it there since the store opened because it's the closest to her home. She has taken it for almost 30 years.

At my job, I would have been fired on the spot if I had talked to any customer is such a hateful manner. I was taught for every customer offended, they in turn tell at least ten others and so on. Jobs are hard to find these days! These people are temps or just don't care about a job.

Thanks for all the good comments. I am glad my grandmother changed stores. If I had known how bad she needed it I would have got it for her. She almost had to go to the emergency room because she got to were she almost couldn't breath and was wheezing badly.

I recently found out that Walgreens was grossly overcharging us for medicine with Ins. After advice from friends we've moved to Melvin's. Employees are polite beyond measure, prices are way cheaper. The lady at Melvin's said that they hear stories like this all of the time. Maybe Walgreens will be the next business to go out!

I have been going into Melvin's for years, several times a week and have "NEVER" saw an employee be rude to anyone. Not one single time. Hope you enjoy USA.
