Last location I was told was little cornie between junction city and Parker's chapel. Site scholar because no oil production in area and the land is so low lying that harvesting of timber is impossible ! Not huge though! Less than 2000 acres

Don't tease! Is this a REAL possibility? Because it would be great for the area. I would love to see something like this happen for El Dorado. Since the politics in this town are too corrupt to get anything productive done to bring in jobs, this seems like one of the only things that could happen to bring more people into the area.
Heres what they can do. Dig up all the streets in downtown and fill with water. Access only by boat. Instant tourist attraction. As a add on run a canal to the o wah chita river .

seriously though, when you are driving on trip and you roll through a town and most of housing you see on way in and way out is lower income dilapidated housing, businesses look old and unkempt, what do you think about that town? We do not even stop in it. We need to beautify other parts of town as much as downtown. Keep businesses well kept and landscaped well on routes leading into town and city keep roads and parks up and neat and clean. These things will make people stop and spend in your town. I think a lot of money is being spent to attract people to a one night event and not to hang around a bit and have something else to attract them and for them to feel safe in our town. If the entrances to our town look unkempt and run down then people will see event and drive back home because they will not feel safe here. Motels and Inns here need to have security in place at all times so guests are safe. These are things that should have already been in place. Restaurants demand that your employees treat customers well and fill their order correctly. Wal Mart keep improving and keep shelves stocked and friendly staff, cause businesses send in people to feel out a town before they start negotiations to put a business in here. We want to make a good impact on these people so they go back and tell owners that our area would be a good place to put businesses.

Well if the Alien landing pad will not fly how about two or three of the city council members seeing a large ape like creature some where around El Dorado. Big Foot could become a huge draw as long as the council members see it when there out and about. I see a lot of the tax money in El Dorado leaving the bank and not much return on the investment.
#8 SEE BIG FOOT AND THEY WILL COME BY THE THOUSANDS.
Done did dat. Staged several Bigfoot sightings around town. Google Bigfoot El Dorado AR, and see how many hits come up. Beside, if you want to see large ape like creature, all you gots to do is come by city councils meeting or Walmarts

Dats good idea to. Aliens Ho House. Legal brothel for anal probes. Attract homo tourists from everywheres. Weekly gay pride parades around the square.

20+ years ago, I spoke with a professional woman at a trade show in Houston. She looks at the address on my name tag and immediately said " Your from El Dorado Arkansas? What a shithole!" Insulted and shocked that "shithole" came out of this lady's mouth,, I asked why she would say that. She said she was driving through El Dorado about lunchtime, wanted to use the restroom and get something to eat, but was too scared to stop her car.
I asked her which way she was traveling, and she had driven 82 business (Hillsboro). She "held it" all the way to Magnolia, and her impression of El Dorado was set in stone.
Realizing that her impression was quite accurate ( based on her path through town), I told her that out whole town was not as she had witnessed, but I agreed with her on the parts she had seen.

Thanks for the laugh. There's aquariums all over the nation that are nowhere near the ocean. Chattanooga has a really nice one. Now go grow a brain and get off the internet until your IQ hits at least 20.
And lets not forget Atlanta, Georgia's Aquarium! Not too close to the ocean.

This is why they are trying to redo it with Arkansas State Highway & Transportation Department.
