Looks like the complex will be a ghoist town this spring. Too bad. With the right leadership, the complex could be a boost to the economy, particularly in the resturant and motel business.

I guess the new concession stand owner will not be so happy with this years revenue without the 100+ games the youth will not be playing there.

Norphlet, Junction, and PC should all benefit from the boycott though, as I understand they have offered to let the El Dorado teams play at their fields.

Really? They must be playing each other, because the league isn't playing there.

You expect people to care about a boycott by a youth fast pitch softball team? What is the boycott about?

From what I understand, there are about 10 EL Dorado teams, plus about another 30 from other communities, so the league has about 40 teams, not "a team". So the complex will lose revenue from a 40 team league. I would say that was significant, wouldn't you?.

Not sure what all the issues are. I'm sure we will hear more as time goes on.

Nobody cares about a little peewee girlie softball tea party. No, this is not "significant." Nobody cares. Maybe they'll concentrate on getting some real games out there that actually draw in revenue.

Yes, it actually does. About 3 times as much. Don't know if you are just stirring the pot, or if you are just that misinformed, but the youth league is the cvash cow for the complex.

Yet no one is talking about any boycott except you and you don't even know why it's going on. If it was a serious thing, it would be in the newspaper because God knows every detail about the parks commission is turned into a story.

Wrong. It's the "cash cow" now, as the little peewee mess ran everyone else off. That's why it does today, and the complex is ran down. If they'd promote the adults more, it'd flourish.

My daughters coach says our team is playing at Norphlet or PC because there are not going to play at the comped.

Nothing to do with "cash cows" just the president of the board of directors wanting all power.

I guess he can have all the power he wants now....a King without a Kingdom to rule over!

Shoot, I bet they can probably get 4 or 5 adult teams laying if they really push things!!

Adult softball has peaked and is falling fast. It will never be back at it's level of 20 years ago. But really, who wants to go watch a bunch of fat, out of shape 40 year old men try to re-live their youth? Especially when they push the little girls off the feilds to do so.

Sounds like the guy starting the Christmas parade rumors is getting bored again. Is this bum ever going to get a life?
