How smart was El Dorado to avoid setting of fireworks this year? 28 people were injured in Simi Valley, California when untrained fireworks personnel accidently set off their entire fireworks display into a crowd! The lack of rain and common sense gives every reason for local governments to pass of the liability to individuals. Shoot at your own risk, not with my tax dollars.

Every city in the country sets off fireworks and you point to one failure? I guess your cups half empty! I think it is sad that the little community of Parker's chapel has to step up and big el dorado can't get it together. Wake up el dorado!

No, every city in the country does not set off fireworks. The sad fact is, at least one failure happens every year. I think its sad that people from PC think they have something better going on because they fail to see the risk that is evident. El Dorado has it together: they pass the risk onto someone else. Who wants to pay millions in legal fees due to the incompetency of untrained fireworks operators? PC is even smart enough to stay out. It is privately performed, the way it is supposed to be.
