Who is the DHS employee that keeps calling before making a surprise visit to the homes of these kids that are being abused? Does anyone have any suggestions on how to get this stopped? who to call? Who actually makes things happen in this county?

Every single time. The abuser is well known at their offices and has a 20-year history (we're not talking about a one-time offender) with their office and they STILL give the abuser a heads up. Maybe they're the reason the "abuser" has been allowed to be an abusive parent??? The "abuser" claims to have something on one of the higher ups there. Maybe there is some truth to that.

This is unbelievable! Someone needs to step up and tell all. Innocent children are at stake. I have heard this type thing goes on but I never wanted to believe it. I would think our prosecutor could make things happen. He is a an advocate for all children, having two of his own. I would start at the prosecutor's office. I would not stop until someone was fired and had criminal charges filed against them. This breaks my heart!

That is a good idea. I plan on speaking with Mr. Carroll or Mrs. Price sometime this week. This child and the siblings are being raised in filth, pornography, drug dealing, prostitution next door, physical abuse, mental abuse just to list a few, and someone at DHHS is protecting them.

Because the parent (abuser) brags about it. There was an anonymous call made and a promise of a "surprise" visit to the home, and the parent (abuser) was bragging that they didn't even come out there, that they just called him on the phone and told him what had been called in about, WHICH HE DENIED, of course. I call that a "heads-up" by DHHS.

Injustice makes my blood boil. Could be that the "abuser" has a friend/relative that works at DHS and is given them a "heads up" when they hear DHS plans a surprise visit. Poor kids. Hope you find someone to report this to.

Don't know how the first call was made but try calling the Arkansas Child Abuse Hotline. It is reported to the state police and a state police investigator is automatically assigned to the case. They can make the decision if local DHS is involved. If that is what you did already then call again and make sure they know what happened. They will get to the bottom of it and don't care who works where and who is related to who...1-800-482-5964.

Thank you. The "abuser" has been investigated for Medicaid fraud, Food Stamp fraud, dependant neglect of all previous children, all sorts of things and still keeps on truckin'!!

So either one of two things must be the case.

1. He did all those things he has been investigated for but has so much pull with both the state and federal government that they ignored the "crimes".

2. He has somebody that doesn't like him calling all sorts of departments in the government and reporting him for things he didn't do.

Sadly enough, it's No. 1. There are stacks and stacks of paperwork at DHS alone on this person. Right now as we speak they are trying to get their spouse on disability. The children were sent to juvenile homes over the years when they would revolt. And then last year they told the judge that they were never abused, that they had made the stories up for fear of retaliation. The children of the "abuser" have no one on their side. Their other parent is illiterate and beaten down too. Sad vicious cycle.

I'm not quite sure. They were raised in the system by their "mother" and know the loopholes. No one really ever exerts any energy in dealing with this person so far as I can see. They claim they're separated from one another, while the wife goes and gets all sorts of assistance even when they live together continously, while the husband makes anywhere from $15 to $25 an hour without reporting it. The police are called out to their house at least 3 times a month if not more. The SO is very familiar with this family and the living conditions. The children do without unless generous strangers donate while Mom and Dad sit back and do their usual "recreational" things. The kids may not have food or school supplies, but by God, the parents will have their beer, cigarettes & illegally-obtained prescription drugs, who by the way are furnished by none other than YOU & ME!

I never said I could do better but what I would do is a complete investigation in every case including the ones who make the allegations. I would not deny someone the help they need based on the color of their skin either. I do not know no more than you do if I would last a week. SO how about you go and ahead and try it. Lets see how long YOU last.
