This was in the Newspaper today. I thought this was a new commission and he was appointed chairman. What is the problem here?

The Masons have a history of quiting organizations when they don't get their way exactly.

This has happened at least twice with the Main Street Board.

She for all intents quit the City Council.

It has happened with a couple of other organizations they were involved in but the details escape me at the moment.

My first thought was that something probably didn't go the way she wanted it to so she quit. Stock and trade for the Mason's.

Is it because one of them had the dumb idea of putting the trees in the road between South Ark and the new Convention?

I'm sure he's tired of watching trees grow, I mean how many years does it take to see something happening?

The was the project that put the walls around the square and drove all the businesses out. It hasn't been the same since.

Naw dude (or dudette). He's referring to when the square downtown was closed off to automobile traffic way back in the day.

Downtown El Dorado has the worst sidewalks and crappiest looking trees of any town in Arkansas. You can't plant 60 to 75 foot tall trees only 6 feet from buildings, under or above utility lines, near the lights that provide safety, trees that attract birds to roost and leave waste on sidewalks, cars and people. There are stop signs hidden by tree limbs that are a hazard to people not seeing them. Mason should be ashamed to see the results of his lack of leadership on tree and sidewalk maintence.

That would be a blessing since they are the worst looking tres in a downtown in Arkansas as stated by Bud.

My concern with the trees downtown is the broken sidewalks. I know a number of people that have tripped over over the uneven walk ways. It is dangerous and needs to be seen about for sure before someone is seriously injured. We have a number of elderly citizens that have business downtown. A hazardous situation for sure. Its the tree roots that are causing the sidewalks to bump up like they are.

Mason was the tree czar and look what he gave us-broken sidewalks and bones. Please take out all the overgrown trees so the sidewalks can be fixed.

The city got a grant to redo some of the sidewalks downtown. It's not all of them, but hey, it's a start.

Yep, a senior goes down town, gets out of the car, goes down the sidewalk, falls over a slab of cracked cement, limps back to the car in pain, gets back in the car, gets back out of the car, gets the parking ticket from the wiper, gets back in the car again. It's hell shopping downtown.

our sidewalks should look like the new one on the west side of the presbyterian church.
mason threatened to sue them if they didn't replace the trees that were removed. maybe this is why he resigned since he didn't get his way on this one. aint he a sweetheart.

How would you know when your crackhead mommy doesn't ever let your inbreadass out of the house? Gain a personality. Or, at least, try to steal one.
