Dr. Ray is an awesome Pediatrician. He has cared for my youngest since birth. He not only cares about the child, but when youngest had the flu, he was concerned about the rest of the family also. I would recommend him to anyone.

Guess we have had different experiences then, or you just didn't know how to take his multiple personality disorder. When I was pregnant and asking around for a pediatrician recommendation, between Ray, Gomez, and Anaya, the nursery and pediatric nurses I talked to ALL told me Dr. Ray would be taking care of their babies if they had any. No one recommended Anaya or Gomez. Being in the healthcare field, I tend to take the recommendations of the nurses actually working with the doctors on a daily basis over any comments from the non medical people. We all have known a doctor that you or another person may have had a bad experience with, but others love.

Love Dr. Ray!!!! Great with the kids which is all that really matters in the long run. Anaya is great to. Too bad he is gone. As for Gomez, you will wait for HOURS just to be treated horribly by his staff and then see him. After waiting 4 hrs to see them, I was amazed at how quickly they jumped to see us after this child's law enforcement parent walked in while in uniform. I will drive to LR next time my child gets sick and Dr. Ray is out!

Also his staff aren't the nicest people either. Most of the time they can't even find your child's chart. We need a good peditrician in El Dorado. I don't care for any of the ones here in town.

I know when my triplets were preemie and just home from UAMS I was told that Dr. Ray was very wise and capable of taking care of my children. Sometimes he is grumpy when called on weekends, but he never misdiagnosed my children. I trust him totally as a pediatrician. I am glad that El Dorado has him.

She had diarrhea, with blood in it. They told me they couldn't see her until 7 that night, even though everthing I had read says blood in the stool in a child is an EMERGENCY. It is outrageous. What will happen when the Cajitas pack up and leave?? Rumor has it they are leaving.

Needless to say we have never been back.

Dr. Ray may be a bit gruff sometimes, but I can certainly handle that because he takes wonderful care of my children. I don't care how he interacts with me, it's how he treats my kids that matters and in that, he's wonderful.
