What do you think of this? He had two kids in the car! I am looking to remove my kids from the Smackover School District if they don't take his drunk ass out of office!!!!

I have talked to several people who smelled alcohol on him in the press box at the football game last Friday night. Why has no one spoken out about this? What if he had killed someone or his kids? Someone is responsible! Someone has been covering up!
Its time

What is up with you folks? Do you live in glass houses...even if he was over the limit, he deserves a chance to get his life in order. I certainly hope I am not hung out to dry should I ever make a mistake...even one as serious as this. Thank God no one was hurt.

The fact is that the man is a role model for the entire Smackover school system. He has several hundred kids in the school system under his control and he needs to be living a lifestyle above that for that reason. What do you think he'd do if he caught a student drunk at school? In his chosen profession he cannot afford to be arrested for dwi and especially with kids in the vehicle with him. He has to live his life knowing that he is being a role model for the Smackover school system. Also the teachers fall under the scrutiny. Plain and simple the man is not just an ordinary citizen.

You are kidding.
Deserves a chance to get his life in order when he was driving drunk with his kids?
I know you are kidding.

He does deseve a chance. My Bible stay ye, with out sin cast the first stone. All of you must be with out sin. The man has been through something this year. He lost his father. I am not saying it is right to drive will drinking and not with the kids. But everyone sins everyday. I am glad you are not my judge.

You still don't get it do you? This has nothing to do with the bible or being someones judge. It has to do with a man who made a very bad decision to drink and drive with children in the car with him. People are probably asking themselves if he drove a schoolbus with a nip or two under his belt or would he. In his profession he has no room to be caught drinking and driving. What message does it send to all the students? He is a role model of sorts within the Smackover community. Or another way to put is that how much credibility would a preacher have if he's stumbling out of the bar every Saturday night and preaching against drinking on Sunday morning. In some professions a person has to realize that they have to live their life better and cleaner than others if they intend to hold that job. Such as his. Also I'd like to say that I don't know the man at all and have no kids in the school system there but common sense tells me that being a school superintendant means that you can't afford to be smelling like a brewery in a pressbox during a school function or being caught driving under the influence with children in the vehicle with you. If he wants a cold one in the evening go home and drink it in the privacy of his own home and stay off the street.

You can be forgiven by people but we still have to be punished for the sins we commit whether they are a mistake or on purpose. He should be held accountable for the bad decision he made.

Hey it's not like he stumped his toe and said a cussword.
He was drinking and then got in the car with his kids. And we don't know how many times this has happened.
I am sorry he lost his father, but that does not enable him to do what he did. I hope your kids are not in that school district.
If mine were, I would be at that board meeting today raising hell.

I have 2 kids in the School system i wish i could be at that meeting tonight but can't i would love to hear everything that is going on. I will not cast any stone or say i don't live with out sin but wronge is wronge. if this was a kid that got cault they would be suspended on the spot. I lost my father 5 years ago my 2nd child was 1 month old and i went though a tough year and still i'm going though it. but i'm not going to get drunk over it. i drink but only if i have a responsable person like my husband or mother in law to look after the kids or if my husband drinks i don't or if i drink he doesn't. it called being responsible. i know teachers some in the distict and some in others that drink and party but in there own homes and keep it to there selves and they don't drive with there kids in the car. i can say that no one is perfect but if your a big wig in a facility like a School you have to be perfect sorry to say but you do. The students see and do as they see adults do. think about it little kids memic words and action of there parents. thats doesn't stop there it goes on thou childhood and teenage years. so sorry to say he has to go. time to reavaluate the policies and do whats right for the school.

The fact is that if he was under the influence at a school function he risks losing his teaching certificate and his job!

What was he thinking? Thank God no one was hurt. Shouldn't someone have done something? Are they so afraid of him that they would risk lives?

I agree he is arrogant, but this beats it all!

He was drunk in the press box Friday night. He came in and threw his cowboy hat on the ground and hooted and hollered after Smackover failed to make a touchdown.

You won't smell booze on someone's breath who claims they just had a couple glasses of wine with dinner hours ago.

It just don't happen, folks.

I was in that press box, and you could smell it, strong and fresh.

I drink wine, and it wasn't wine on his breath.

The man has a clear alcohol problem, and he shouldn't be around kids.

Would someone kindly post what action, if any, the board took last night. Under the Code of Ethics for educators they have only but one choice.

It would be nice if someone would post the names and phone numbers of the members of the school board so that those of us who would like, could make our thoughts known to them. We have til Nov. 3rd. to let them know what we think, as we very well should. If you live within the school district you are paying taxes to operate the school, with or without children in the system you still have an interest and your voice should be heard by the Board. It is still a free country for a little while longer at least.

They suspended him WITH pay, at least until Nov. 3rd. Hopefully after that, the school board will get some sense and let him go!!

Daily Horoscope for December 24

Leo

Perhaps it's the fact that it's Christmas Eve and everyone is busy, but you can't help feeling that you're walking on eggshells around certain people. Their emotions are very close to the surface and could erupt at a moment's notice, perhaps in a storm of tears or a fit of pique. Calm them down and ask if you can do anything to help.
