Okay fine people of Topix, I would like to hear your unedited and unapologetic opinion of this year's musicfest lineup. And please, hold nothing backā€¦

Look up price economics. Only 10 grand for Coolio to come. I'm sure they could have afforded someone a little better.

If they can afford these modern day hillbilly country music singers, then they can get better modern rock bands

Who's to say county is top notch? Not everyone in south Arkansas likes that mess. Bring in some real musical talent like 3 Days Grace or Five Finger Death Punch

It has taken a path last few years that just does not make it a family venue. I think when one night was rock and one night country it was balanced. There are at least three events in this town every yer for other music venues, but this only one for country or rock except one in spring and it may not be promoted enough. You are right though they are too high as think they are using this to fund downtown as though taxes here not enough to pay for it. The cost to have booth or venders costs are too high too which keeps less people participating. Gues we don't do 4th of July here anymore either, now talking about doing away with some parks because they don't have money to maintain them, but they had money to pay sanitation workers to run yard trash trucks on sunday which is double time. Someone here needs to wake up fast. We can do away with parks cause they cant charge to go in them like their precious golf course. Lets turn them into community gardens so they will be better taken care of. UUMMM if they are not mowing or piking up trash on their own yards they will not keep up someone elses property and do hard labor gardening. What are they drinking at these meetings??? There are few that want to work out in heat in garden , and they think we need to pay someone to oversee these sites? Each one, or a roving person over all?. And how could we afford money for new position if no money to even put equipment in parks and maintain it. Musicfest just another example of How can we get the most out of our citizens and visitors, not what can we do for our citizens and visitors. Blossom festival has good performers, small amusement rides, arts and crafts, and food vendors and cook ff. They charge for food and rides but no entry fee just to hear music.

I got an idea how about we get the ppl that have government assistance to do the work on the parks and cut the grass hell the government is paying them may as well get something in return I work and pay taxes and I dont have a problem paying my taxes but I wanna c were my tax dollars r at thats what the government needs to do to fund our parks they need to get the ppl that get government assistance to give back to the community not just take from it and put them to clean and work at the music fist so thats my 2 cents

I have to wonder who actually suggested some of this crap that will be there this year? Of the entire line up I've only ever heard of Coolio...and I'm honestly not impressed by any of it.

Defiantly will NOT be attending this year
