You're an idiot. Their lease is up with the mall owners and they don't want to renew. They're looking for a new location.

Atwoods didn't take New Century's business. They took Eppinettes.

New Century is just moving to a new location. No domino effect. Just you creating an idiot effect.

Something like a Target or Old navy would close some El Dorado businesses, but they would bring people and money into El Dorado that would otherwise be going in the opposite direction.

Come on everyone you all think its doomsday for El dorado Arkansas we always think a large business will put a local business out of business Home Depot didn't put Kens out of business like it thought it would Kens still have better business because Home Depot real expensive yes Walmart did forced Kmart out of El DORADO years ago but fortunately replaced by Atwoods I don't think they will put Eppinettes or any local business that sells the products they sell out of business we complain all the time that we need national retail here and people go out of town to shop and eat so we need to support new business whether its small business or national retail?

I think the mall owners planned to up the rent to get rid of New Century in hopes of getting a big chain in. With TJ Maxx coming in, I bet they are looking to make more rent off of a national restaurant.

Walmart did not force KMart out. They closed stores all over. Had nothing to do with Walmart.

If they act any way like the Eppinettes have with Atwoods moving here, then I agree. Piss on them.

your nutty as a fruitcake if you don't think wal-mart had anything to do with widespread k-mart closings!!! walmarts simply took more and more market share and left k-mart with less.

It does not matter who owns it, the fact is they can no longer afford the rent, the pie has been sliced to thin now that the new chinese buffett has opened, this is not complicated.
