I hasve heard that the practice of burning tires is illegal, not only by the state but by the Feds and the EPA, How can this be when the County Judges insists on burning them ???

No Actually it is true -
I would suggest you ask the following:

Loftin himself - he was adamant about keeping them burning that day - surely he will be just as adamant about telling the public the truth.

also you could ask the EPD who made the call

and the Former Fire Chief because he was called in on it also.

Turn your scanners on people !! what you'll hear will amaze you

Scanners are for loons and conspiracy theorists. It's what you think you know that scares us and causes our officials to just shake their heads (to keep themselves from laughing).

Ask people in Washington or Colorado if its illegal to smoke weed. Ask people in California or Florida if its illegal to bring in their family from countries just south of us. Ask Timothy Geitner or Charlie Rangel if its illegal to avoid paying their taxes. Al Capone died in jail under the same charges. Ask Congress if its illegal to profit off of inside information. Martha Stewart was practically ruined for the same tactics. Ask the Fed why men are spending 150 years in jail for following the examples of social security. Ask Eric Holder why its illegal to traffic illegal assault weapons, especially to those that are killing border agents. And you want to bitch about burning tires?

The EPA doesn't have laws. They enforce regulations.

Most people burn them on dark nights. Less pollution that way.

Just do like AVOs does and dump them in the rural parts of the county when they think nobody is watching.

Kimmy. ( a Scott Tedder confused sexual orientation alternate identity before he killed her off, think Norman Bates ) may have been making a crack about how refineries and chemical plants release vapors at night which they try not to release in daylight. I used to think this was a Greens' old wives' tale until a senior chemical plant engineer snapped at me that of course they do.
