Another meeting ends with numerous disgruntled residents rather than mayor Hash doing his job and getting Hwy Dept and state officals involved to fix their screw up that was not even considered when the hwy was widened! The simple questiom would come up in anyones mind as to HOW in the hell is over 400 residents going to evacuate in a safe timely manner in the event of a emergency situation! He should have long time ago been on top of this safety issue without the residents having to call a first then a second meeting both ending in turmoil rather than being resolved!! It is VERY EVIDENT that Hash gets infuriated and goes on a rampage anytime something is brought up that cost any money such as this which we had more than one way in and out before the engineers with the HWY DEPT screwed it up and closed it off without taking tis into consideration! It is very evident Hash wants to reserve all the taxpayer funds for STUPID UNNECESSARY BS that he can make money on! Nothing is spent on needed things to benefit the people such as this safety issue, industry a new industrial park etc! People need industry and jobs before anything in the way of retail is ever going to survive a simple FACT PEOPLE!! WAKE UP PEOPLE HASH IS IN IT FOR HIMSELF AND ALL THE CASH HE CAN STASH! NOT THE PEOPLE THAT VOTED HIM IN FOR DAMN SURE! OPEN YOUR EYS AND MOUTH ITS TIME FOR THE PEOPLE TO TAKE A STAND HAVE A BACKBONE AND SPEAK UP!! WE DONT NEED PIRATES LIKE HASH IN A PYBLIC OFFICE TO MANIPULATE THE PEOPLE AND TAXPAYER FUNDS TO BENEFIT HIMSELF NOT THE RESIDENTS THAT VOTED HIM IN! CF

He seemed to think spending $8,000,000.00 of city tax money to build a downtown hotel would be OK without concern to what effect this might on the investments made locally by various Patels. They long ago ran out of motel opportunities and had to diversify into convenience stores ant truck stops. If an El Dorado downtown hotel would be a viable investment that could be depreciated for a few years then sold to a cousin, I believe there would be one.

Who would own it?? Camel jockeys If I had to guess!! He needs to invest in a industrial park and bring the old one back to life! Thats the last damn thing we need is a motel! All out of town and state contractors will most likely do all the work! Spending that kind of tax payer revenue and not a damn dime of it is going to go in the local unemployed workers pockets! YOU CAN BET YOUR ASS THAT HASH AND HIS DAMN CRONIES WILL GET THEIR CUT OF THE PIE THOUGH! THIS POS NEEDS INVESTIGATED!

It's not a safety issue. It's a convenience issue. Many subdivisions across the country have only one entry point. Consider yourself lucky.

Oak Manor, Whitlers Knotch, Meadow Hills only have one entry and exit- I've lived in Conway and Pine Bluff and many housing areas in those towns have only one entry/exit.

I doubt Hash is going to see a second term. This will cost him the black vote. Henry and McGhee will see to that. Hash had better be looking over his shoulder at Hammond. She is already doing every photo op she can to get her name and face in the local media. She's going to run for mayor next time. Watch and see.

And the only thing that could possibly be worse than another Hash term would be Diane Hammond as Mayor. We need to get rid of both of them before they run this city into the ground.

Somebody has to run against them. The problem is that a lot of good people want nothing to do with the hassles of politics, so the same people keep getting in.

I completely agree with you on that one. She is nothing more than power hungry. I wonder if Hash has enough sense to watch his back on that one or he's going to wait until he feels the point of her dagger in his back. Edmonds will turn on him too. It's going to be interesting to watch.

One entry point is found in many areas of high land value. Coincidence? People in murmil heights must be more concerned about criminals having am escape point instead their property value.

I discussed this with the Bubba earlier in Hill's. He kept getting hung up on the concept of a gate. I told him to forget about a gate. Access to 82 could be arranged with a "fence" lightly constructed enough from thin wood, hardware cloth or small diameter PVC pipe so that even a motor scooter could breach it. In case of emergency only, county could road block one lane so vehicles could escape.

High land value in murmil heights? That place has been on a steady decline for some years now. That place will be little more than a higher scale haygood neal before much longer. The hood rats a taking it over and the older white people are selling out to get away.
