Actually, I've had second thoughts about bringing anything to El Dorado for a long time. The observations I've made in that town about the way the citizens embrace new restaurants or businesses is not that great. If I opened a restaurant anywhere in Arkansas, it will be in North West Arkansas around Rogers and Bentonville, where the people and the surrounding economy can support it.
I have yet to see enough great people in the restaurant industry in El Dorado to support an upscale dining experience like I want to bring. I'm talking a top notch staff that knows how to cook, has food experience, wine knowledge, and goes beyond what is required to make something grow and be great. El Dorado doesn't have that. Not enough of it's citizens have been in the kind of establishment I'd like to bring and I honestly don't think the town and economy can support it. It might be great for a couple of months, maybe even up to a year, but people don't want to eat at the same place every time they go out (or maybe they do, seeing how many people still frequent applebees) and not to be blunt, but a lot of El Dorado's citizens do not tip to standards. They are cheap.
Wish I knew you. We think alike. I've been looking for a partner for an investment in N. AR for two years now, but am yet to find someone with the funds or the same mindset. I'm interested in the restaurant business or housing for college areas. Mostly the housing. If you want to talk we could set up private emails and have a few chats? Make a post and let me know. And BTW, I have a bachelor's degree, am attending grad school, and have some funds for an investment. Maybe we should talk? Wouldn't hurt.

<quoted text> Food recipes are good. Service is fine. Kitchen is DISGUSTING. Food is UNCLEAN. Like biblically unclean, lol. And apparently its common for gross stuff to be found in the food there. You couldn't drag me there if you tried. When I get invited to eat there by a coworker I always make up an excuse not to go or downright tell the person we can go out but I will not go there. I used to live in Dallas though so my standards are high. To me there are about three good restaurants here. The most annoying thing is how much people here love their crappy restaurants, especially the Mexican. Being from Texas, I can say with all honesty that the Mexican food here is horrible. So is pretty much everything else here. Six more months and OUT! Living in El Dorado is like a prison sentence. I miss being able to go to an organic restaurant, having good pizza, eating sushi, lebanese, and having mexican that isn't a joke. Everywhere we go here I laugh at the quality of food that my coworkers seem to enjoy so much. None of them have lived anywhere else or done much traveling. People around here really have no clue that all their shit sucks. I guess if I grew up here and hardly went anywhere else I would think things here were good too.
My main issue.... I CAN NOT EAT HEALTHY HERE. AND NEITHER CAN ANYONE ELSE. If they tell you they are eating 'organic', they're lying. Unless they're rich and 100% of their food is ordered online. That or they live on a farm. You can't find healthy, organic food here. Period. I miss being able to go to an organic food store and find the things I need. I ask grocers here for certain things and they look at me like I'm an alien, or they haven't even heard of the food I'm talking about.

Typical redneck response. "If you don't like that our town has nothing to offer, then leave!" No wonder so many people hate this place. Its not just the lack of anything decent, its a lack of intelligence in its people.

A lack of intelligence is the art of trying something again and again, while expecting different results. What that person was telling you, "hahahaha," is that you're more than welcome to carry your complaints somewhere else if you are miserable here. An environment doesn't create misery; a lack of appreciation for what we do have does. The reason why anyone would hate this place is if they only listen to idiots like you who always focus on the negative things, thus believing the only things we have here are negative, or "suck." What actually does suck is your pisspoor attitude without one iota of an idea on how life can be improved around here. Therefore, the masses will continue working on what is voiced as needed, looking forward to the day when YOU STOP BEING THE PROBLEM and join up to assist in efforts of improvements that you value or carry your ignorantass somewhere else to be miserable. Until them, we'll all be Happy, Happy, Happy!!!

Yep. Only meth shows up in the system for only a few days I think. Most speed does. So they can do their speed then get clean real fast. That place is disgusting.
