you dont get paid to read non-business related material or to text and facebook on the phone while on the company dime. That is why our competition drives us out of business.

our grandparents and parents built this country on their hard work and sense if pride. We are now tearing it down a little at a time by being lazy and feeling entitled.

Actually amercable is the leader of the competition with our ability to get the cable to its destination in a timely manner and in good condition amercable not only has business in the united states but all across the world

Granted ten years ago that was not the case we were at the bottom but we made it :) and get a job out here and work 7 days a week 12 hours a day Then you too would like to be on your phone to keep up with what's goin on with the world and I don't have Facebook twitter or any of that other nonsense

My husband has been out there 7 days a week for 12 hour days ever since January 3rd of this year. The only break I've had with him was the Christmas holidays. I truly believe that if these people had their way, Christmas shutdown would be canceled as well. It's not a matter of family to these people anymore. It's all about the money.

And someone mispoke as well. A bible was in fact brought home to our house last night. When I asked him about it, my husband said managers are not allowing books, magazines, phones, newspapers, or bibles in the plant anymore. They went through desks looking for any contraband material and tossed anything that wasn't removed. They did not however throw any bibles away but did state that they did not need to be there the next day.

maybe your husband volunteered to work 24-7 to get a break from you. Thats what several of the guys do and just say that it is mandatory. He may just be laid up with some skank at her place and coming home when the shift is supposed to be over. Men do it all the time. Maybe they are just reading old bibles. Na! probably not.

Amercable may well have been and may continue to be a family oriented company but there will be changes when the French owners take over and we will see if those changes are for the better or not.
