Why dont you refute the facts of my post? Instead all you do is post something ignorant. You likely are a shining example of the results of the so called free public schools. all the schoold are is a babysitting service and a brainwashing indoctorating camp. anf if the students dont comply give them drugs so they will learn to be good sheeple.

I would suspect that you, like most individuals, would not mind paying property taxes if the public schools were turning out kids that we tax payers would be proud to turn over this country to. Kinda like kindergarten graduation, then fifth grade graduation, then eighth grade graduation. Does high school graduation still mean anything anymore?

I heard a couple high school kids talking about the election the day after. You can take heart in the fact that there are still conservative children in our public schools.

Actually, public schools used to teach weights, measures, history and geography, etc. If they still did, we would have more innovators, inventors and free thinkers. Instead our children are becoming average Joes that are easily manipulated by folks like Redd and Barney. BTW, the Bible does not give an age of the earth.
For the most part, I agree with you. I believe that the problem our public schools face, especially in the south, is the cultivation and abuse of the welfare society. You have "parents" that have children for no other reason than more income and they have figured out how to keep those children alive for less than the amount they get from the government thus they are making a profit off of thier children. There is no amount of money we can give public shcools or no teaching method that can overcome that type of parenting style. To add insult to injury, the children from middle class families are convinced that the kids they see at shcool have it better than they do and some are following suit down the welfare road. If we don't fix the family structure in America then we are done for. Without parents that work hard and show their children the value of hard work and personal responsibility, this nation will continue to decline just like all other socialistic nations.

It's the percentage of conservative children that worries me. There are probably 50-70% conservative students in any given public shcool. I would venture to say that there are no more than 10-15% who are not only conservative but are able to understand and articulate their conservative principles. The rest buy into the liberal agenda because it seems so easy and prosperous. It's not until they end up on the wrong side of that agenda that they realize they are truly conservative. By then the hole is too deep for many so they either walk the line, trying to do what's right but willingly accepting some government help, or go completely on the government dole. The liberal socialistic agenda is this way by design. Get them dependent then show them the mountain is too steep to climb without government help.

Once when my son was about ten his entire class gave awards for something, I can't remember what. Anyway, I remember him coming through the kitchen and pitching the award in the trash right away. He said everyone got the same award. It insulted his intelligence.

I guess I looked silly removing the snow from my back porch with a garden rake and a broom, but not as silly as those Americorps college students trying to spread hard packed dirt and aggregate in June of 2010 with snow shovels, long handled ice scrapers and leaf brooms on the National Mall. It was a feel good shovel ready job for them. I did try to buy a snow shovel before the snowstorm but was told FEMA bought them all up and pre-positioned them in New Orleans saying they would not be caught unprepared like President Bush.

Here are 10 ways your money could be affected if there is no deal reached by the end of the year:

Your Income Tax Rates Will Go Up The expiration of the Bush-era tax cuts on Dec. 31 means nearly every American taxpayer will see their rates go up when the rates go back to their 2001 levels. President Obama’s plan to avert the cliff includes keeping the current rates for middle- and low-income earners, while allowing the rates to increase for the highest income levels from 35 to 39.6 percent. Republicans have pushed to keep the tax cuts for everyone.

Your 2012 Tax Bill Will Be Huge As many as 28 million Americans are about to be slammed with the alternative minimum tax because a "patch" to adjust the AMT for inflation will not go into effect unless Congress acts. For middle-class households with kids and earning around $75,000, the AMT will add $3,700 on average to the tax bill for 2012 alone.

Your Paycheck Will Be Smaller The first paycheck of the year is going to be smaller for up to 125 million Americans after the Social Security payroll tax holiday expires on Dec. 31, raising the rate from 4.2 to 6.2 percent.

Your Tax Refund Will Be Delayed The Internal Revenue Service has said that without a deal by Dec. 31, tax refunds could be delayed for as many as 100 million taxpayers as the government agency scrambles to revise tax forms to reflect the changes post-cliff.

Your Kids Will Cost You More Money Among the tax credits that expire on Dec. 31 are several that help lower- and middle-income families with kids, including the Child Tax Credit, Earned Income Tax Credit, Child and Dependent Care Credit, and the American Opportunity Credit. All four revert to lower levels on Jan. 1, which could cost families hundreds to thousands of dollars in lost tax credits, according to CNN Money.

You Cannot Collect Extended Unemployment As many 2 million unemployed Americans won’t be able to collect extended benefits after Jan. 1, when the federal government’s unemployment extension ends as part of automatic spending cuts.

Your Stocks Could Wobble The stock market tumbled on Thursday after Senate Majority Leader Harry Reid (D-Nev.) said it looked like the the country was going to go over the fiscal cliff. Uncertainty over taxes could create more market volatility, experts say, but there is a silver lining: The Fed has promised to keep interest rates low for the next year, and that could help stabilize the economy overall.

If You Use Medicare, It Will Be Harder To Find A Doctor One of the spending cuts that will be enacted on Jan. 1 is a 30 percent reduction in the rates Medicare pays doctors. According to physicians' groups, the pending change has already sent doctors fleeing some health care plans, Forbes reported.

Finding A New Job Will Be More Difficult Mandatory spending cuts slated to start on Jan. 1 will cut into government jobs and jobs dependent on federal contracts. One report from George Mason University estimated that the cuts could cost 2.14 million jobs, the Christian Science Monitor reported.

High Earners Will Pay New Taxes For Obamacare High-earning taxpayers will pay a new 3.8 percent tax hike on net investment income, including income from interest, dividends, capital gains, rental and royalty income. Much of that same income group is also subject to a new .9 percent increase in Medicare taxes. These tax hikes are part of the Affordable Care Act and go into effect on Jan. 1.

And where is the downside? Earned income credit and unemployment is money those folks didnt work for & earn its dole cut it out. After they reduced the social security witholding rate the Social security for the first time ever Ran in the red in 2011. in 2011 the fund paid out more than it took in. Stupid move to reduce revenue just as the very first wave of baby boomers start to retire. I made money this year however the feds wont get any income tax from me. Just self employment social security tax. I do the same things the very rich do. I took a loss on my farm. then I bought all kinds of buisness inventory to reduce my buisness profit. Ill sell that excess inventory at very little profit and quickly recoup my money after the first of the year. Goverment jobs are parasitic in that they produce nothing they must be funded by taxing a producer or by borrowing. the fewer govt jobs the smaller govt the better. If the goverment lets out fewer contract,s the increased competition to win a bid will result in lower bids and a saving,s. and many when they finnaly do get that tax refund it will have the payment for Obama health care deducted from it. all medicare has done is enable health care providers to pad the bills and cause the cost to skyrocket. Besides we wont need it any longer now that we have Obama care. Lets go ahead and junp off the fiscal cliff some folks deserve the hard landing that they will recieve.

WHAT?! This can't be. Most of the things you listed will affect the middle and lower class as well as the wealthy. Obama said that taxes would stay the same for those making under $250,000. He didn't lie........Or did he?

What's worse is that I think that those who support the socialistic agenda of today's democratic party would rather have all of their money stolen by the government and starve to death than to see conservative principles bring us out of despair and into prosperity. In other words, they would rather look good losing than look bad winning.

It's all about self esteem. The left thinks that these little ceremonies and self esteem ads will be able to overcome the laziness that the govenment itself has instilled in our youth by making them dependent. Of course it neve does but once the youth get hooked on government dependency, it's hard to bring them back.

His Name is "General Herbert "Stormin Norman" Schwarzkopf" not black head or fat general. Show some respect for a grate man that lead our forces to victory. You bring dishonor to his name and his memory with such anti-Americana comments. You call yourself "Old Army". You must not of served in the US Army to make such comments.
