Who controls the US Treasury? You got it, the Socialistic democratic Obama administration. They even put a tax cheat in Timothy Geithner in charge of it. Can't believe you even went there. Were not going toe to toe. Your already trying to pick yourself up off of the mat. It was over before it even started. You never had a chance.
Have you ever made and error in preparing your income tax return?

"tax cheat" is a rather bold title for someone who made a mistake on a return. Based on the premiss if you have ever filed anything less than a perfect return you are a "tax cheat"

So I ask you Sir, are you a tax cheat, intentional or not, or are you just simply perfect.

Redd, that pretty much describes the last generation of Red State Southern Conservatives', throw out the same old farts and you have it coved back to the reconstruction.

Now admit it, you would have been shocked had you come back to find this anti Liberal, Democrat hating bunch opining on anything other than every poster, that is not a Republican, is Barney and they are correct about every damn thing. By God don't even think about asking them to prove shit, because they said it was true, and that is all you need to know.

Then they do a victory dance.

No, I have not made an error, I use an accountant. If I did my own taxes, then yes, I would make errors but no one is asking me to be Treasury Secretary. I know my limits and would not take such a job.

I really doubt that anyone is asking Mr. Geithner that question today either.

So, by your definition of a tax cheat, you would be a tax cheat if you did your own taxes?

Rep. Raul Labrador of Idaho and Sen. Ted Cruz of Texas have both claimed that the so-called “Gang of Eight” immigration bill in the Senate would give legal status to 11 million people currently living in the U.S. illegally. The CBO says "approximately 8 million of the unauthorized residents already in the country would obtain legal status" under the bill. That’s because the Senate bill requires those living in the U.S. illegally to meet certain criteria before they can gain legal status.

For more about this and other misleading claims about the immigration bill, please read our July 10 item "Rep. Labrador Spins Immigration Bill."

A new TV ad by the conservative group Americans for Prosperity features a young mother, Julie, who asks, "What am I getting in exchange for higher premiums and a smaller paycheck?" When family premiums for employer plans jumped 9 percent from 2010 to 2011, experts told us the Affordable Care Act was responsible for a 1 percent to 3 percent hike, with the remainder due to higher medical costs, the usual culprit for increasing premiums. The law’s provisions that caused the bump were the elimination of preexisting condition exclusions for children, the requirement that dependents be covered on their parents’ plan to age 26, free coverage of preventive care, and the increase in caps on annual coverage. For 2012, employer-based insurance went up a much smaller 4 percent on average.

The conservative GOPUSA website carried a story with this headline: "More People Getting Government Food than Actually Working." But that's not true. The number of adults "actually working" was just under 136 million in April, according to the most recent figures from the Bureau of Labor Statistics. And the number of adults — and children — getting any form of federal food assistance was put at 101 million by a report from the U.S. Department of Agriculture’s Inspector General.

How do you know when a liberal knows he's being beaten? They focus on things totally unrelated to the topic at hand. Barney's post above is a great example.
things like this?

Things are looking great for President Obama’s economic legacy. Even better than anyone could have hoped, frankly.

On Thursday July 11th, two economic records were set. The first record shattered was the U.S. government posted a ‘huge’ budget surplus for June, in fact the largest for that month on record at $117 billion.

The second record was the Dow, which rallied above its all-time closing high this morning after Bernake assured investors that the central bank would be keeping stimulus measures in place.

Reuters led with this headline today,“Surprise! Huge US Budget Surplus Shatters Record”. Reuters attributed the huge surplus to,“An improving economy and tax hikes enacted earlier in the year led government receipts to rise to $287 billion, up 10 percent from a year earlier.”

First off, the surplus is great news, BUT let's not get too excited just yet. We still are on pace to have over $800 billion in deficit spending for this fiscal year. That means that we still have to reduce the deficit by more than $800 billion before we can even begin to pay back our debt of almost $17 trillion. I don't put it past this administration to do what's right for a short time in hopes that they will win the House in 2014. Only time will tell about that. I'm sorry, but nothing Obama has done has encouraged me to trust him any farther than I can throw him. But kudos to Obama for doing the right thing. If I ever hoped I was wrong, it's about this.

You are thinking way too highly of yourself, Barney. Trust me...it is not flattering on you.
Some people can pull it off, but you are simply not one of those people.
You have ruined your chances to boastfully pat yourself on the back, and strut around with you feathers out...because you continue to share what's on your mind.
Awe...such a simple little mind...

Not saying you are off base here a little, but if I was to say that, here is why I would say it.

The White House reduced its projections for the current fiscal year's federal deficit by more than $200 billion to $759 billion, thanks to additional revenues from an improving economy and recent across-the-board spending cuts.

In March, automatic budget cuts known as sequestration went into effect, lowering outlays this year by $43 billion.

Further spending has been reduced because the government-backed mortgage giants Fannie Mae and Freddie Mac paid dividends to the Treasury.

The budget office said the new revised estimates show that the budget "achieves the core goal of fiscal sustainability by putting Federal debt on a declining path as a share of the economy."
