IF we make it 4 more yrs with Obama there won't be much America left for Michelle to destroy.
I've been reading about all the millions of tax dollars Barack and Michelle and old Joe Biden have been spending on parties and traveling, big time vacations and now have been reading that their spoiled brat kids are taking separate vacations costing millions more tax dollars. Leave it to them to spend us out of existence. None one of them knows what it's like to have to work and make a living. Not one of them has one lick of patriotism, at least not for the United States of America.

It turns out that 25% of Republicans don’t like their own party.
The Republican Party has a structural problem, in that it has only two main constituencies: the very wealthy and the white Religious Right. Both are tiny but powerful minorities. Neither is at all representative of the US population. Both want to impose policies on the whole country that suit them but which are unwelcome to most people.
The poll also shows that 60% of Americans in general don’t like the GOP, which is what pollsters call “high negatives.” It is one thing to be an independent or generally a Democratic, another to actively despise the Republican Party. Even 60% of independents don’t like the GOP.
The Republican business elite wants to avoid paying taxes and to saddle the middle class with the tax burden instead. The evangelicals and right-wing Catholics want to impose their moral strictures on the rest of the country. Both policies look selfish and unfair.
It is their indebtedness to the religious Right that causes Republicans to oppose things like gay marriage, which now has the support of some two-thirds of Americans. As they move out of the mainstream to the margins of national politics, they look narrow-minded and selfish.

Here read some more about first ladies vacations and call it research.

For 15 years, Laura Bush and four female friends have escaped together for a week every summer. They arrived at Mammoth Lakes on July 8, 2001 and a day later came to Tuolumne Meadows Lodge with an entourage of some 25 people, including Secret Service agents, a White House communications team, various aides and several park officials. The group took up about 15 of the 70 cabins at the site.

July 27, 2003 Laura Bush and all her friends arrived at Lake Crescent Lodge in Washington State for a week long vacation in the Olympic National Forest. "I have a group of friends that I grew up with in Midland, Texas, and we hike every summer at a national park," said Mrs. Bush. Yes, she and her friends arrived on Air Force II with lots of Secret Service Agents.

July 23, 2006 Denali National Park & Preserve in Alaska

First Lady Laura Bush arrived in the park by train on July 23rd for a one-week vacation at a private inholder lodge in the Kantishna area. Members of the park staff assisted Secret Service and White House personnel with communications, security and logistics. A small number of rangers from other parks in the region were detailed to Denali to maintain normal operations so that a portion of the parks law enforcement staff could be assigned full-time to augment and assist the Secret Service details. During the week. Mrs. Bush and a small group of friends enjoyed daily hiking excursions throughout the park. On Friday, July 28th, she and her companions traveled to park headquarters to tour the Murie Science and Learning Center, a collaborative venture by Denali, seven other national parks, and several park partners. She later attended a luncheon hosted at the center and greeted park staff and the regional director.[Submitted by Richard Moore, North District Ranger]
This is the second time in the last couple-three months that LaWa has taken advantage of a western national park for a little "getaway with close friends" whose number, names, relationships, and particularly gender is somehow never mentioned.

In June 2008, First Lady Laura Bush visited Mount Desert Island, Maine with a small group of friends for a brief vacation. She did not plan any public appearances before she arrived, but she was out in the public eye during her visit and met with Acadia National Park superintendent Sheridan Steele.

Laura Bush and her daughters, Barbara and Jenna, traveled to Africa in 2007, where they went on safari. Yet her trip was regarded as an "official" visit and included several public events.

What first lady spent the most money while in the white house?

Answer:

Taking into account inflation, I'm going to say Mrs. Obama will end up having spent the most.

In the heat of the campaign, Genovese said, Clinton seems to have “overplayed her hand a bit.”

Clinton’s recent misstatement about landing in Bosnia under sniper fire made the whole strategy backfire.

PolitiFact also found accuracy problems with Clinton’s claims that she brought peace to Northern Ireland and helped negotiate open borders for Kosovo refugees.

If what you say is correct then answer me this. Why is it that with leaders like Reagan in office 401K's soared? The upper class were rich and the the middle and lower classes were comfortable. Taxes were low and disposable income was plentiful. This is an undeniable fact. Contrast that with Obama. 401K's are depleted or gone altogether. The rich are comfortable and the middle and lower classes are suffering terribly. Taxes are soaring with promises that they WILL go up for everyone though Obama promised otherwise. As for disposable income, it's a rare thing for most. The contrast is as clear as night and day and I don't know how any American, especially one who was able to work in the era of Reagan, could defend this president's policies.

And all the while, Tours at the White House still went on and we were still spending $Billions less then we are today.

Your post was such a feeble and pointless attempt to rationalize Obama's greed and willingness to hurt American citizens to prove a political point that it is worthy of BARNYII acclaim.

Then there are those who generally vote republican, who aren't very wealthy or extremely religious, like me, who believe in the right keep their hard-earned money and the right to defend ourselves, but have almost no other options to vote for besides republicans that will half-heartedly fight for those rights.

In reality, both parties need to relinquish control of other peoples lives. I don't need someone else deciding that I need to wear a seatbelt, have an airbag or have my trans fats limited.

And someone else doesn't need to be told who they can have a relationship with.

The pursuit of happiness means different things to different people. As long as nobody's rights are being infringed on, I don't give a crap what anyone else does. And they don't need to worry about me either.

I don't defend this presidents policies, but if someones 401k is depleted or gone, I can't say Obama had anything to do with that.

I was not working during the Reagan years, but I was during Bush, Clinton and Bush. I do remember a time when things were good. The economy was soaring. Home values were rising fast. Everyone was spending like crazy,(including money they didn't yet have). People were all buying houses, or multiple houses, even if they couldn't afford them. Families all had new cars in the driveway, that depreciated over time, and many years of car payments. Tons of debt, and no guarantees of jobs that lasted forever. Yeah; I remember those days.

That was all fake. People with any sense knew that couldn't last. People with any sense saved for hard times. Even squirrels know they should save for hard times.
Nobody can blame a president for the hard times of citizens. Not Obama. Not Bush.

The correction that was coming happened. Most people created the mess they are in now by not preparing for it when they had a chance. Back when they were spending like crazy, including all those interest payments to credit cards and car companies. Let's not forget cigarettes, alcohol, lottery tickets, casinos, restaurants, fast foods, tanning booths, gym memberships, cable tv, etc.

But I must say, Obama has hurt the poor or middle class making the situation they got themselves into even worse.

So how can over 873,000 people come off the unemployment rolls when there were only a little over 114,000 jobs created? Below is a transcript of a conversation between two eminent economists discussing this very question!

COSTELLO: I want to talk about the unemployment rate in America .

ABBOTT: Good Subject. Terrible Times. It's 7.8%.

COSTELLO: That many people are out of work?

ABBOTT: No, that's 14.7%.

COSTELLO: You just said 7.8%.

ABBOTT: 7.8% Unemployed.

COSTELLO: Right 7.8% out of work.

ABBOTT: No, that's 14.7%.

COSTELLO: Okay, so it's 14.7% unemployed.

ABBOTT: No, that's 7.8%.

COSTELLO: WAIT A MINUTE. Is it 7.8% or 14.7%?

ABBOTT: 7.8% are unemployed. 14.7% are out of work.

COSTELLO: If you are out of work you are unemployed.

ABBOTT: No, Congress said you can't count the "Out of Work" as the unemployed.

You have to look for work to be unemployed.

COSTELLO: BUT THEY ARE OUT OF WORK!!!

ABBOTT: No, you miss his point.

COSTELLO: What point?

ABBOTT: Someone who doesn't look for work can't be counted with those who look for work. It wouldn't be fair.

COSTELLO: To whom?

ABBOTT: The unemployed.

COSTELLO: But ALL of them are out of work.

ABBOTT: No, the unemployed are actively looking for work. Those who are out of work gave up looking and if you give up, you are no longer in the ranks of the unemployed.

COSTELLO: So if you're off the unemployment roles that would count as less unemployment?

ABBOTT: Unemployment would go down. Absolutely!

COSTELLO: The unemployment just goes down because you don't look for work?

ABBOTT: Absolutely it goes down. That's how they get it to 7.8%. Otherwise it would be 14.7%. Our govt. Doesn't want you to read about 14.7% unemployment.

COSTELLO: That would be tough on those running for reelection.

ABBOTT: Absolutely.

COSTELLO: Wait, I got a question for you. That means there are two ways to bring down the unemployment number?

ABBOTT: Two ways is correct.

COSTELLO: Unemployment can go down if someone gets a job?

ABBOTT: Correct.

COSTELLO: And unemployment can also go down if you stop looking for a job?
ABBOTT: Bingo.
COSTELLO: So there are two ways to bring unemployment down, and the easier of the two is to have people stop looking for work.

ABBOTT: Now you're thinking like an Economist.

COSTELLO: I don't even know what the hell I just said!

ABBOTT: Now you're thinking like Congress

The Exxon Pegasus tar sands pipeline, which was shut down on March 29 after a rupture was detected in Arkansas, will need to be excavated as the company looks to determine what caused the breach, a spokeswoman said.

There is still no specific estimate of how much crude oil had spilled, but Exxon said on Sunday that 12,000 barrels of oil and water had been recovered - up from 4,500 barrels on Saturday. Inside Climate News reports that the Environmental Protection Agency has estimated the spill at 84,000 gallons

Exxon was hit with a $1.7 million fine by regulators just last week over a 2011 spill in the Yellowstone River.

Not until Obama decided to go after the oil companies did we ever hear about all the spills that occur every year. The U.S. government estimates that there are approximately 20,000 oil spills each year and it's been that way for quite a while. Obama wants to get the support for the uninformed voter so he demonizes the profits oil companies make. He also wants to fill his and his cronies pockets so he demonizes the "harmful effects" of oil spills on the environment in order to gain support for the green movement. It's really pathetic that Obama uses these tactics but it's even more pathetic that people actually believe him. Your post is a perfect example.

No, the fact that the man you blindly and ignorantly worship, our president, Obama is copying communists and socialists is not supposed to "reflect kindly" on him. Unless, of course, as you have made us well aware you agree with the way he is purposefully hurting American citizens for "the fundamental transformation of America."
