I buy all my wranglers at atwoods. Better quality, same price. I see good people at both locations, but it doesn't have an impact on my support for either. As long as they are not rude, I'll continue shopping at both locations. Especially with atwoods coming to El Dorado.
How can atwoos wranglers be better quality ? they are made at the same plant and sold direct from wrangler, how can atwoods be beter quality than Eppinettes ?

Age, style offered, etc. Just like McDonald's hamburgers can be be better quality than Wendy's. They all come from cows, right? Well, most do. Just because someone like Billy doesn't agree with you or you agree with them, doesnt mean that their perception is wrong. Evidently, you have some personal ties to your rants. This is mot helping your cause.

Apparently, you are not quick when it comes to comparisons. It's not "nuts." It is done everyday to bring understanding to the simple-minded.

You know, I don't think the issue of wages has been brought up in this topic yet. What is the starting wage for an entry level employee at each of these stores?

I would quess probably minimium, but A better question would be how much of the sales (monies) from each of these stores will stay in union county and how much from each store will go direct deposit into a oklahoma bank ?

About an equal amount from both places. Atwoods would hire more people, expanding the spending ability of a number of people than one small group.

I would bet the Eppinettes spend a lot more money locally than the owners of Atwoods.

If Atwoods hires 20 people that just means 20 others in town will be laid off at some point in time, those 20 layoffs will be split between Eppinette, Henly, Kens, Timmons, ect,(ALL LOCALS) so they will be no additional jobs created, But Atwoods will send the BULK have the monies back to Oklahoma, these are simple facts, this is going to happen, retail and resturants is not what creates jobs, they just split jobs,.........look at what the new GIANT CHINESE BUFFET has reduced to the other chinese buffets too, they have already laid off half there staffs only to make room for a few new jobs at the new giant buffet, I will bet one of the other china buffet will be gone by the end of the year, maybe both..........these retail type recuitements never ever create, only reshuffle and destoy what others have worked hard to build..........how about some real jobs like factories ?

You can't recruit people to move here and work for our good employers if you don't have adequate retail, restaurant and entertainment options. And that means you have to have more than one of each type of place...

I would say we already had more than one of each type of place..........look at Oceola they do not have half the resturants and retail that Eldorado has but look what they just landed, 500 permanent great paying jobs, plus 2000 temp jobs that will throw TONS of "REAL NEW" money in that small city, they did that without killing there local retail merchants and did it the right way with industry.....not job shifting retail that hurts more than it helps.

Ok, build a river in El Dorado and convince the state to put up a billion dollars. There you go, problem solved...

I would bet the owners of atwoods never enters the city limits of Eldorado much less actually spends any money.

on the other hand the Eppinette family does a lot of shopping here, eating at local resturants, buying gasoline, clothes, groceries ect. While the owners of atwoods is enjoying a lavish lifestyle in Enid, Oklahoma.

Easier to just move the county seat back to Champagnolle, though diverting the river through El Dorado might help with Lake Frank.

Oops! Forgot we'd have to install a 180 degree return bend in the multi-user wastewater effluent discharge line.

The owner has been in El Dorado the last few weeks! Grand Opening soon! And any idea that their hires are a job rotation from Henleys, Eppinettes, etc.is a complete lie. More families are supported than just the two small family businesses already here. And all families working at atwoods will shop locally, dine locally, etc. This is better than spending it all with one family. Hopefully, you'll finally listen to me.
