Why should the people who make the most get raises and not the people who make least? That seems backwards to me

For anybody, even a dumbass like you. If minimum wage is increased to $9.00 per/hr, this will be an extra $70.00 per week that will go into circulation, people will spend more. and that will increase supply and demand, witch means more jobs

Let me explain it....I worked afternoons my Senior year in High School through an "office occupations" program for 1.00 per hour. When I graduated, I got bumped to minimum wage...then 1.60 per hour. I spent 17 years on that job, with yearly raises, while gaining knowledge and work ethics. I then moved to a Managerial position at another facility, totally based on my work experience. I have been on that job for 27 years, and yes, I make good money...because I invested myself into it...I never missed work, I did my job well, and now I reap the rewards. So, it is in your hands.....where you want to go. I got no hand-outs.

No, It means less jobs and higher prices, so, no real net gain. Productivity produces wealth.
Artificial ceilings and floors produce no wealth and only distort the market. So, for any
Artificial action their are real actions by businesses that counter act those actions
And you get no net gain. Ie: Obama care and the 30 hr week full time now making
Millions of jobs being reduced to part time status to offset the increased costs to
Businesses.....thus, employees are poorer and they along with the consumer bear
The increased costs from government intervention. No government in the history
Of the world can mandate productivity Gains..........or can they defy FOREVER the laws
Of mathematics!

Using that same logic, when everyone else gets a raise it would also mean less jobs and higher prices, but when everyone else gets a raise and low wage earners don't it just pushes them farther behind. Management under pays workers in order to over pay themselves.

Maybe we could freeze the wages to government employs, and give that raise to minimum wage employs, and the productivity would be the same. The government employs would still be making twice or three times as much at $9.00 per hr. not counting benefits.....LIVE AND LET LIVE!!!!

I'd go along with you "minimum wage" if they (congress) would agree to raise it to
At least $50 hr, because if $10/hr is good,$50/hr would be great!
